Native British owls are not that big - what you might be seeing is a Euorpean Eagle Owl - there are some around in the UK - particularly around Scotland.

I used to have a Harris Hawk, a Great Horned Owl and a Kestrel. Falconry is a great hobby - you get a real buzz the first time you fly your bird free !

Hi Sy I think the kit only replaces the dipped beam, so the main beam will still be the old halogen bulbs. When you flash the main beam the dipped turn off - there is a way to wire it so they stay on http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/H-light_conversion.doc AndrewG was also looking into a way of doing this.... It can only use KpA or PSI, so I assumed your settings were in KpA and not PSI, as the set gain settings were in decimals: Lo Set - 25% Gain - 25% Set Gain - 0.50 Warning - 1.00 Warning L - 0% Hi Set - 45% Gain 40% Set Gain - 0.75 Warning - 1.15 Warning L - 0%

I have done the set up in KpA - isn't that what your settings are in ?

Does anyone know anything about PC based CCTV systems. I would like to get a camera with a motion detector - connected to my PC to keep an eye on my Zed. Any help appreciated.....

I've got a D70 and have been more than happy with. It is great as a point and shoot, with lots of different preset settings like portrait, landscape etc. if you don't want to play around with the manual settings - which make it even better...
