  1. SGR FM (Good ol' carrot crunching local radio in Ipswich) gave some stats which, if I remember correctly said: 100M long, 60M wide - which is pretty bloody huge! Simon.
  2. Really sorry to hear your bad news! I hope the insurance company find you a decent replacement to fit your HIDs n brakes etc too! Si.
  3. doh, and just realised that wasn't even my post you replied to!!! :wack: :wack:
  4. LOL I know! My registration needs renewing and I can't edit posts at the moment :wack:
  5. Groupbuy on the VXR500!!! Just saw it on fifth gear, pffftttt - but wow whatta noise when the foots planted! dribble.......... :p
  6. I've got a couple of tree's in the garden - perhaps they'll drop me a house tax band if I plant a few more? As for saving the environment - the zed's off the road, failed it's MOT on rusty brake lines and leaky sump (managed to puncture it something in the road after going over a speedbump!) - doh!
  7. Just been checking out barryboys.co.uk for the first time today, and OMG, there really are some steaming piles of automotive-turd on the UK's roads! It's actually a really good site, loads of subscribed users, and best of all no censoring of the language at all - which makes people's 'say what you're thinking' descriptions all the more entertaining! Anyway, decided to search for '300zx', and came across a few real nasty Z's - can anyone here confess to owning / having owned one of these? http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23312&highlight=300zx or http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23104&highlight=300zx or http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21954&highlight=300zx or http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20427&highlight=300zx or, best of all, and I know this has been seen before, but for the benefit of any new members who need a quick lession in how NOT to mod your Z: http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19816&highlight=300zx anyway, check out bb.co.uk for yourselves and and make your own mind up about the rest! (Plenty of other Z's highlighted on there too, but some of them I happen to like!!) Cheerz Si
  8. When I had my glass taken out before the car was resprayed, I called Autoglass and told them it cracked whilst taking it out; "No problem, where's the car we'll come and replace it!?" was the response. So like Legrath said, just claim on your insurance - for the windscreen at least :)
  9. Hi Si. From memory, there're 10 or more 10mm bolts to undo - all of them clearly visible once you've removed the trim panels from the rear. I think the very corners of the bumper's arch has a single screw in each side too. fiddly job initially - especially if the screws have rusted into their brackets.
  10. checked through my normal mails AND the 'spam' flagged mails that is.. ... damn this no edit button!! LOL ;)
  11. Thanks for confirming its an expired registration. However, I can confirm that my registered email address is active and is used everyday. My spam filter is switched on, and have checked through my mails back to the 31 August and there's nothing in there?? I'll get a paypal payment over tomorrow sometime then. Cheers
  12. Must have done, but I could edit this morning before I went to work, ane now I cant lol! If it has expired I've not had any notices, whether it be email or PM, AND I only got my membership pack through a fortnight ago!! :wack:
  13. Must be something to do with my account on the server or something then! Even IE shows me no edit button - only reply! Screenshot on it way......
  14. Hmm, definitely not there LOL! wonder if its FireFox causing odd behaviour?? Back in mo via IE.....
  15. Can't edit this post either! ??? v.strange!!
  16. Just replied to another post, then decided I needed to add a little extra info, but there's NO edit button to change the post!!!! LOL - someone playing silly buggers??
  17. Offsets are entirely dependant on width, but help is at hand: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp just tap in the values for standard wheels to compare how the wheel will sit in your arch. Standard (from memory) is: Front: 8" 45mm (TT Front & NA front & rear) Rear: 8.5" 35mm (TT rear) Hope this helps Simon.
  18. £645 with "performance direct" - 30 years old, 7 years NCB, limited mileage (3K per year) as this is my second car, all mods declared (exhaust, bigger turbos, overbored, bigger injectors, bigger ic's, chip, induction, c/f prop, koni shocks, blizx springs, bodykit, respray etc etc etc). Was with Houghton insurance, but their best price for the above was 820. Before that, I was with Elephant, but had to switch since they said they'd no longer insure me with more than a couple of mods!! Hope this helps
  19. Exellent! That's the first link - wonder if anymore will surface today? Tell you what, Peter Rosenburg hasn't changed much LOL! Just a little less hair!
  20. One of those Z vids I haven't seen before, unless I've had my head in the sand at the wrong moment! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8JtqtvJ7C0 Simon.
  21. If you're talking about the one from TopGear a few years ago, that TVR turned out to be tuned 600bhp one owned by the TVR c.exec! Which is why is pasted all the other cars quite so well. See if I can find you a link...........
  22. Just spent ages looking over this chaps website: http://www.ultima-gtr.info/ Basically he's built a tiny fibreglass kit car (an Ultima GTR), with a 6.3Ltr supercharged (620BHP) v8 chevvy engine in it: Some taster pics: anyway, check out the rest for yourselves.
  23. Not unless its a very large corner - you'd need to be on full boost and then step off the accelerator completey to do the most harm. Under lets say, normal driving, where perhaps you're only producing a little boost you'll be fine, so long as you ease off the pedal slowly to let the boost drop off naturally. Si.
  24. Just read all the posts I missed out on whilst brushing my teeth - look how clean they are: :D I should have said 7 is normal! which should mean you're producing boost ok, but possibly not relieving it! So, until you get checked out, just take your foot off the gas slowly when backing down from full bost - this'll avoid compressor stall which is BAD!
