  1. Apologies. I've been out of work since March so have no money to subscribe. I'll refrain from selling on here.
  2. Yes, I think it's pearl. Phone me, where are you, Folkestone? xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  3. Yes, I think it's pearl. Phone me, where are you?
  4. My Zed continues to languish untouched and unloved, which is not what I want and not good for the car. It was running a couple of years ago, but now is in need of revitalising. If anyone's interested, drop me an email or call me up. I'm near J11/M25, Chertsey in Surrey - the car's in Egham, in a garage. Don't have any photos but will get some over the weekend. It's auto, pearl white paint and nice black/blue velour seats and is all there. Lots of spares, doors, roof panels, exhaust boxes, bonnet, engine bits. Talk to me
  5. Yes, thank you for posting all this, it's inspirational. What a superb job you're doing. I also like the gas hob in your workshop, very good ?
  6. Interesting, thanks for the update. Good luck with your project, mine is laid up rotting away nicely, awaiting a rebuild like you're doing. Got the time now, but no money! All the best.
  7. I haven't been following this but it popped up in my email for some reason tonight and I must say it's very interesting. How did you clean that washer tank?
  8. Sorry, I don't. But wouldn't life be dull if we all liked the same thing.:cool3:

  11. Yes I was going to comment on your garage. Not only are you making a superb job of this, but I think given your limited facilities it's an even greater achievement. Reckon you got quite a few admirers, and rightly so! Keep going.....
  12. I was so hoping that would not be the answer!
  13. Loving this thread, you are doing an excellent, inspirational job. Just wondering if you have done anything to that lovely manifold to stop it oxidising. What's the preferred method - anodising, plating, painting...or elbow grease as and when??
  14. oops, sorry, repeating myself. It's an age thing....
  15. Thanks for the replies, guys. Have made contact with Gazwoz. Think I must have one with the water-filled sills. Nice of it to wait for me before blossoming. Bloody Japs - design some of the best of anything in the world, and then leave a big fat sleeping boobie like that in there. Spose the manufacturers don't have to worry about us idiots 20 years down the line! Anyway, I'm looking for another one. Not fussed about colour, as long as it's pearl white. Any leads? - - - Updated - - -
  16. Hi all, Not totally new on here but haven't contributed much. Done a lot of looking in tho. I did a load of research and bought what I thought was a good one a couple of years ago. Although it had a dodgy Irish provenance, I went all over it (and under it - in the snow!) before buying. It looked pretty good, but a year later it failed on rotten sills and rear arches. For a number of reasons I haven't got round to having that repaired properly (got it patched up for MOT) and am now looking for another car instead (later model). I am even considering going to Japan (if I can ever find one for sale there) and importing myself. But how was there so much corrosion not showing? Is there any way of checking arches, sills etc for rust? I thought Jap imports were rust free due to lack of salt on their roads. Is this a myth?
  17. Very nice white one displaying at the Kingsbridge Classic Car Show. I'm a long way away, but HID was there trying to coax you out of wherever you were to compliment you. You were obv elsewhere, and you didn't appear, but she saw you on your way off. Think it has inspired her to get ours sorted, so thanks for that! (I was going to anyway once I'm back in UK). Looked like a good day.

wocha, I'm in Woking too, but don't have one of these yet. Thinking of buying, saw a very nice one at Phipps garage in St.Johns but missed it, trying to do some research on the car. Give us a shout, jeff.lawlor@btopenworld.com
