Had to go on a crappy 2 day course for work in Manchester :headvswal i asked to loan a car and was offered either a Matiz or an old Diahatsu fourtrack :nono: so ended up going in the zed ( get mileage allowance ). The traffic was a nightmare , took 2 1/2 hours to get there thursday morning , 3 hours to get home :rant: and near enough the same today !! 320 miles and about 10 hours at the wheel altogether but it did remind me what a bloody good long distance car these are , going across the A57 was brilliant, well the bits inbetween the speed cameras were :headvswal Oh yeah , didn,t see any other zeds :cry: Long live the zed :bow: :bow:

If it,s an auto it can be done without taking the dash out , it,s fiddly and you,ll lose a bit of skin but it,ll grow back :D There is a link to the aussie site which explains how to do it which i,m sure someone will have . I did mine following their guide and did it in about 2 - 3 hours :bow: :bow:

I had this , only had steam rising a minute or so after stopping , usually at the petrol station :headvswal , found a pihole in one of the n/s plenum coolant lines dripping straight onto the exhaust manifold , did a plenum bypass , fitting new coolant pipes going straight to the tubs , cures the problem and the chances of it happening again :bow: :hyper: :hyper:

Left work on friday , was driving for about 1/4 mile and thought it felt a bit harsh at the back so i stopped and checked and my n/s rear tyre was flat :rant: Now i know that driving on it this far probably fooked it so turned around and went back to work so i could use the trolly jack , tried to pump it up but it wasn,t having none of it , took the wheel off and the tyre was cut nearly all the way round the inside wall :shock: :shock: So on with the spare , i,ve now took all the Ultralites off and fitted a set of standard wheels temporarily :cry: Looks crap but drives sooo much better , first time i,ve driven a zed with standard rims !! Just gotta save up now , bloody Potenza,s are pricy :smash:
