Got back off me hols on sunday, got to work on monday fitting the Lumiglow dials i got off Vijay and blingy surround. Its just a lower skirt, dead easy to fit , a few screws along the bottom and wheel arches and bonded were it fits along the top HTH :hyper: :hyper:

IIRC Zcentre do a few different ones, i have the Greddy one on mine as it keeps it smooooth :hyper: :hyper:

Some strut braces seem to fit very close to the engine , are you sure yours isn.t touching for some reason and transmiting vibration straight from the engine to the chassis :confused: :confused: :confused: just seems wierd to have started after fitting your brace.

Manta v8,s doing this at the mo, he,s fitting a 350Chevy and Supra 5 speed box .Should go quite well !! :shock: :shock: So far its been quite a simple swap and its soooo much cheaper to build a high ouput engine :dance: :dance:

A company called Frost Automotive do polishing kits , they do alot of gear for the restoration trade, i borrowed manta v8,s to do my water pipes, worked a treat, i sanded them with a D.A sander , starting with 180grit then 240 then 500 and polished them, very quick and easy to use. :dance: :dance: :dance:

There,s a couple of nice sets of 18 inch wheels on ebay at the mo, about £625 a set IIRC :dance: :dance:

Iv,e never understood Mitsubishi and Suburu, they,ve got some cracking technology in both these cars and they go and stick it in a saloon car :headvswal If they made a nice sports 2 seater and put this running gear in they,d have a top sports car !!

I swapped my dial bulbs for blue led bulbs , to be honest it lookes a bit patchy , it deos,nt seem to spread the light around the dia;s evenly but that is a problem with led.s, Iv,e used the bulb replacements with one led in but you can get them with a group of led,s in them which would probably be better. The only other problem is the needles look dark instead of a bright red, must be down to blue light trying to shine through red plastic :headvswal :headvswal Iv,e also done Mujina.s switch binnacle mods, a bit fiddly but looks sweet :bow: HTH

Sounds like the connector and sender unit needs the terminals cleaning, i bet there a nice shade of green, if the sender turns out to be faulty and you struggle to get one from nissan , Lucas do replacements for both senders. The fan cuts in when contact is lost to the sender , some type of safety feature IIRC. Not sure if it should effect the tickover though :confused: HTH
