Back from santa pod. Good weather for it too. Ran a 14.5@97mph with the standard chip at 10 psi (ran 15.2@94 with superchip and 13psi before?????) so happy with that. Should be a lot faster by the next round after having all the parts in my garage fitted hopefully!! Impressed with the 13.3 i saw Chunk run.

could somebody please tell me what the maximum boost you can run with a standard chip is?

Hi all I have just fitted KYB super special shocks to my z and they have the adjustable damping on them from 1 to 4. It doesnt really seem to make that much difference on the road but probably will on a track so i was wondering if anyone knew what was the hard setting so I can just leave it on that. Also, the springs that are on the shocks have RS*R written on them. Are they made by KYB or a different company as the suspension is really low now? BensJammin

They are great. Did cost me a lot but thats because they are 265/40/17.

Just thought i'd share my personal opinion. I had a set of Falken Azenis tyres on my car which were i thought were really good and I quickly wore them out drifting round every roundabout i came to. I have replaced them with Toyo Proxes T1-R's which cost me nearly £250 for 2 rears. I went out in the rain a little while ago and tried drifting but the car would not let go. I also tried to launch hard and got no wheelspin at all - and this is in the rain. These tyres are amazing and would definately recommend them. They have given me so much more confidence.

Hello all. Driving around a minute ago i looked down and noticed that the hicas light on the dash was on. Now i know this may be a stupid question but what does this mean because i have never seen this light before as my boost gauge sits directly in front of it and only saw it coz i leant forwards. I have had no probs with the steering and the car handles fine. Advice would be most appreciated. Thanks BensJammin

Does anyone have a detailed description what has to be removed to remove the rear shocks (ie seats etc) as im gonna do this but have a tendancy not to see that last hidden screw and break things. :headvswal Many thanks BensJammin

Sorry to hear that mate. Mine did that and it was the head gasket. Proper cooked mine though. Sounded like little pieces bouncing around in the engine. New engine was covered by warranty but total bill to the warranty company was £3000 and they werent happy :headvswal :mad:

Have adjustable Blitz BOVs on mine and they are SOOOOO loud when they are fully open :dance:

Totally annoyed with my times. Best I managed was 15.2 @ 95mph with 13psi but 3rd gear felt so lazy. No-one told me that SUPERCHIPS are bloody shite. Gotta make sure I get new chip and have exhaust, flywheel, clutch and ud pulley done before I do another run! :headvswal

Hi there Can some one tell me how the boost pressure measurement works on these twin turbo cars? Whats confusing is that on a single turbo car you feed the boost gauge from the throttle or thereabouts and you get your reading - simple. On the twin turbo z though the reading comes from the balance bar which evens the boost out between the turbos. My question is that when you are running 14psi (for example) is that the boost both turbos are running or are they running 7 psi each. If both turbos were running 14 psi i would have thought that would give a reading of 28 psi? :confused: Please help BensJammin
