  1. You lucky lucky git.... i can dream i guess. How was the poker? I play a bit of poker - maybe we could set up a Zed poker night or something? I know certain pubs/snooker halls will host a table or 2 ... what do you think?
  2. Like i said mate, i would be happy to do a deal for a fellow zed man, maybe if we get a golf day sorted you can use them if you like and see what you think?
  3. more pics:
  4. Hi Craig, I don't know how to post photos on a private message so i'm gonna have to do it here. (Any mods please move this where it should go if its in the wrong place) so here are some links to give you an idea of the clubs: http://www.golfbidder.co.uk/models/1595/Callaway_Iron_Set_Big_Bertha_(2004_Series).html http://www.golfreview.com/cat/irons/callaway/PRD_321979_2940crx.aspx#reviews The set has the following: 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 - Unlike most which only start at the 3 iron - or more likely these days 4 or 5 iron (people often use hybrids instead of long irons) All fitted with Precision Rifle Lite 6.0 shafts and Golf Pride grips. All are in good condition, there are 2 very small splits on the grips of the 5 and 7 iron (the worst of these is pictured - the other split is in same place but really small) The 5 iron also has a small dent on the edge of the sole (made by a sodding stone hiding just under the fairway on the 18th) The 2 iron is missing the little plastic ring on the hosel (pictured) This has no effect on the club whatsoever. I'm not too sure about price, if your still interested after checking out the links and the photos then let me know, or make me an offer. Nice one mate, P
  5. Groan... its almost as bad as the one about the car jump lead who goes into a bar asking for a pint, and the barman replies, "I'll only serve you if you promise not to start anything.." :duffer:
  6. mate, Thats more than 2 grand more than i paid for my Zed!
  7. Guys that is most helpfull, I will give it a go, and if it all goes horribly wrong, then i can take it to someone who knows more than me to fix my muck up.:mac1:
  8. Hi, Is anybody interested in taking part in a golf day for ZedHeads? I have had a few people on this site show an interest, and if we can get enough people, i will happily arrange everything and even try and get a few prizes thrown in to boot. I thought that we could make it a full day, Golf in the morning, and then an impromptu Zed meet in the carpark or at the nearest pub. :duffer::duffer: What do you think? Let me know if you have any ideas Heres to speedy cars, and slow swings.:D
  9. Woah... Celtic Manor.... Now that is some course, you lucky git, how did you manage to swing that? i'm in the B,B&O area so that sounds good, I have posted a thread on South Central bit of this site so hopefully we will get some response from some other fellow golfers, I think it could be a nice day - golf and cars... not too bad eh? .... and that sounds like a bit of bandit backtracking... 12 it is:tongue: Where do you play at the moment Boom? I play at Goring and Streatley which is in between oxford and reading ish. - Wokingham really isn't too far if you ever want to hook up for a game, i'm always up for it. P
  10. I need help, some dingbat has gone and broken my aerial - i still have it but it is completely removed from the car and the metal has snapped off completely. How hard is it to replace old with new? someone told me that i'd have to chase the cable all the way back to the head unit!!! this doesn't sound right to me as the motor still works - i can hear it going when you switch the engine off. Help me please guys Ta
  11. I think everyone here has given you some pretty good advice - i would say get some nice friendly cavity back irons - dont have to be a really expensive set, as i think that the technology thesedays is so good and very transferable, my mate has a set of dodgy dunlops! but he hits them a mile, and they feel pretty nice to be honest, so whatever feels comfy i guess. I always buy my golf stuff 2nd hand - just cos its sooo expensive, now playing with a set of Taylor Made forged irons. I suggest trying some clubs out at your local range or shop etc, so you can gauge what suits you most (length, lie angle, size of grips, loft, general feel etc) then try and get something the same or similar online - Golfbidder is a pretty good site, not as cheap as ebay. I have a spare set of Callaway Big Bertha (2004) irons with mint rifle shafts aimed at higher handicappers, with a faster swing. They're in pretty good nick - really forgiving and served me will till i needed a bit more control and less forgivingness. Let me know if your interested. Also since all who have looked at this thread are into golf - i was thinking about organising a Zed Golf day - A good day out on the course, some friendly comps, a few prizes, and then an impromptu zed meet either in the car park or at the closest pub? what do you guys think? heres to speedy cars, and nice slow swings.

  13. Does anybody know the nearest Zed specialist near oxford? Thanks P
  14. Boys i gotta say, in a car park full of nice cars, yours both stand out. Looking lovely and with a touch of class.
  15. I have to say that you guys have given me a pretty good idea of where most of these threads end up  but at the same time made me feel all fuzzy and warm inside :p
  16. Just wanna say guys, that so far i have been treated really well by everyone who i hav espoken to, i have already got a few bits for me car, and dare i say it made a few friends. This is my first Z adventure, and i just LOVE my new car.. '91TT LWB Great site, great guys, and of course great cars. now enough of spreading the love, i need to go and put me foot down on the way home to raise some of the 'ol testosterone levels:) P
  17. Lovely, just stunning....
  18. Hi all, On my 91 import, the speedo has been converted, but the turbo gauge is still in the Jap format (ie -7 to +7) and the now changed speedo face only goes up to 120 mph - I haven't gone that fast, but i assume that the needle would just eventually stop, even if i did go over the stated 120? has this had some sort of converter? because at 90 - 100 the needle is nearly all the way over on the right (as 120 is top). Really i want the needle to sit in its normal place when driving (you know - about 70 or 80 when pointing straight up) , does anybody have any ideas or advice, i want to either change it back to kph readout - or swap it out completely so that it reads in mph - but can i get a dial that goes up to the normal 150 or 160 or whatever a standard 300zx dial goes up to? Please help a newbie who has totally fallen in love with his new car.:):D
  19. I like your style, and if she buys it then your laughing. Well mines an auto too, 91, i just got it and it needs a bit of love on the inside, i'm not too keen on the tweed, and i would like to get a bit more power out of it as its the first auto i've had for a long time, but to be honest i don't know enough about cars to be messing with the engine etc, so you got any tips for a cheap easy performance upgrade?
  20. I don't get it - she doesn't know its your car? And i'm not surprised that she didn't notice the spoiler, Mines not the most car friendly or concerned, We just got a little clio for her, and after a 5 MILE journey, i got a phone call saying that her wheels were smoking and it smelled funny! She had in fact driven there with the handbrake on all the way! - Now has a bit of sodding ribbon tied to it so she doesn't forget it! Anyway what you doing to yours - anything crazy?
  21. lol, i used the baby car seat card as a trump card when i purchased the car, as a way of softening the blow to the missus, we dont have a baby yet, but you know what they're like. She did however nearly wet herself when she saw that i had to take the roof off BY HAND!!!
  22. Has there ever been one? are there any other golf mad Z lovers out there? Anyone interested in doing a golf day? I would be happy to try and co-ordinate if necessary.
  23. I reckon they all look pretty lush to be honest, the seats in the back are small though, i wouldn't want to sit in there myself, but no kids yet so its all good.
  24. Duh... I feel a bit of a dumbass.... it is a 2+2 - so a LWB. Thanks guys. P
