  1. She's pretty, i dont think i have seen that spoiler before, but i am quite new to zeds to be honest what colour are you going to paint it? and why - she looks nice and subtle in silver. Either way - nice zed
  2. I'm off to rugby training this evening having gone a couple of weeks ago - it just aint as much fun as it used to be - I guess this might have something to do with the 13 years away from the game, drinking, smoking and many other activities which tend to destroy the mind body and soul - and now everybody is much bigger, much stronger and much faster than me! I'm just about to go and try and find my old rugby boots as i had to borrow some the last time and they were a size too small which didn't help the cause. These last few years i said to myself that if ididn't get my fitness and shape back by the time i was 30 then i was basically f***ed - and guess what? 30 came and went closely followed by 31... and now 32 is looming i have basically guilted myself into doing some training. So lets hope i make it through the session with minimal injuries - and if i'm lucky then i will only cough up 1 lung, leaveing me with enough breath to get home.
  3. Mate, you'll love it - i just took over 40 kids to paintballing a few weeks ago and it was super cool. Just bite the bullet and buy a load of extra balls to begin with (getting a discount for bulk buy) rather than after every round comming out and realising that you need another 100 for the next round. I did do the honorable thing and rent the upgraded more accurate weapons so that i ensure that i had a fighting chance.... I think taht Nut is right - the weather should pick up a bit too, but if it stays wet and muddy then that would add to the realism of the day (WWII recreation and all taht) Enjoy mate
  4. I am trying to kill two birds with one stone here so to speak - and therefore may well be able to hook up for a beer and a bite to eat on Sunday. I'm quite probebly down in Brighton that weekend seeing my mate before his new baby comes to destroy his mellow existence, so will try and swing by on the way home. 1) bigh (Howard) 2) groover 3) Croeso 4) Pablito (Paul) 5) __________________
  5. I've seen Akira many times, and didn't make the connection. :headvswal But those cars do look funny - i suppose that some of the stuff that i do may seem wierd or funny to other cultures too. I love the picture of the guys with their 50s rocker hairstyles etc - it looks a bit like an elvis convention or something.
  6. Better late than never - Happy Birthday boys.
  7. lol  i hear that mate - no need to waste that money spent by ditching it on the way home :wack: Seriously though - how much of a change to the insurance premium do you guys reckon this will make? I pay £223 on a classic car policy from Lynbrook at the moment. Also i've read that the 0-60 for the auto TT is about 7 seconds, what do you guys reckon the difference would be after an upgrade like this? Either way i am looking forward to treating myself though - we all deserve a little treat from time to time. :hyper:
  8. Not yet - but i will be purchasing in the near future - i've just got to budget a bit at the moment as the missus has just jacked her job in - and we are a 1 wage family at the moment.... I wouldn't mind but I'm only a youthworker and we dont earn a lot. So next month it will be the brakes and an underseal as its pretty clean underneath (according to Jamie @ Zedworld) Then a new exhaust - induction kit and i'll be looking for some new wheels but its going to have to be after t6he new year i think. quite excited though to be honest. :hyper:
  9. I have been driving the Zed for a month now and after my last visit for a conzult @ Zedworld we found thet the thermostat is jammed open the engine is running too cold and is spending most of the time in safety mode. I'm up to Zedworld on Thursday to get is sorted and i'm also having an ECU upgrade. my questions are as follows: How much of a difference is there between safe boost mode and normal mode (ie performance difference) and secondly how much of a difference will the ECU upgrade make? (Jeff reckons about 70bhp) but what will this equate to on the road? Thanks for your help people.
  10. Wow Si... you really have found some ugly ones there.... how can people do this to their cars, and how can they think that it is an improvement?? I like your metro though . lol
  11. can anyone find any uglier that these? http://photos.streetfire.net/photo/UGLY-CIVICPORSCHE_1398245. http://www.ricehatersclub.com/images/japvan.jpg http://forums.macresource.com/file/1/file=88 http://www.hemmy.net/images/car/crazycarmod01.jpg http://www.hemmy.net/images/car/crazycarmod11.jpg
  12. I get my green tea, and gunpowder tea from the local chinese supermarket... Both are meant to be good antioxidants The missus is all about the earl grey and chocolate horlicks.
  13. nice to see the whole process - that is one lovely car.:bow:
  14. VW Camper Van: 1972 Devon Moonraker White with brown and orange paisley interior.... sweeeeett!! :smw:
  15. Seeing Jeff @ Zedworld on Thursday to replace the thermostat, so should be another one on the list. :D I'm also going to get an ecu upgrade for a bit of extra grunt... i'm getting excited now. :hyper::hyper:
  16. I fully agree..... its just this one was particularly bad :nono: I'm just pleased to get all the scrapes and marks out. ;) You enjoying your new car as much as i'm enjoying mine nicci?:D:D:D
  17. I spent all afternoon out on the drive trying to sort out the scrapes down the side of the car caused by yesterdays numpty. First i washed it Then i clayed it Then i T Cut colourfast polished it and again then i used autoglym super resin polish... I'm pleased with the results, but should have taken some photos of what it looked like before. I did it all by hand, but think that i would like to buy a half decent electric polisher..... any advice?
  18. Agreed -absolutely stunning - serious performance to boot
  19. Yeah - i'm gonna give it a good clean, might even give it a once over with some clay - then polish a load of TCut colourfast into it - then a good coat of Autyglym resin polish.. Should do the job. It's not the best paintjob in the world - but streaks down the side are not in the script. and yeah, what's that about people not knowing who's right of way - even at bloody rounderbouts :headvswal
  20. well.... £940 with 4 hrs to go - methinks i may have been a little generous with my bid of £1299... we shall see should easily top a grand though, so you should be happy i guess.
  21. Some numpty just forced me into the bushes on the side of the road cos she didn't know how big her car was... Most annoying as i stopped to check, and i now have nice lines all down the passenger side of my car where the branches etc smacked my car. Why do people insist on having massive cars and then not know how to drive them, I swear she was halfway across my side of the sodding road. Now i have to spend the whole of tomorrow trying to clean and polish out the marks out!!! Heigh ho - Rant over :headvswal
  22. Can we get some odds here? I reckon with 20 hrs or so left and £870 at the moment..... I'll be bold and go for £1299 any other takers?? Virtual beer for the closest guess i reckon. ;)
  23. Car is black not tried touch up sticks - just T-Cut Colourfast
