London, one day !!!
If your going to see the tower of London, which is cool, I would suggest that when your done just take a wander down the river and visit the Tate modern, its only about a 10 or 20 min walk. and you can see a lot of the city of London as you walk on your right. St Pauls is just up the road too. Or if you like a bit of Impressive architecture, take a wander through the city, its a mad combination of uber impressive buildings, like the Bank of England, the Royal Exchange, Lloyds of London, the Gherkin etc, and just behind all these and in between the streets are a myriad of really old alleys and old shop and bars/pubs... however most, if not all will be closed as it is the weekend. If you Follow the river for a long walk you can obviously see loads of cool building like houses of Parliament etc, and you do get a great perspective from the river. I also like the London eye and River cruise... you can do them as a deal for both. The river cruise is very interesting and pretty cheap really. Buckingham palace is not too far either. Natural History museum and the science museum are cool, but I think my favorite in London is the British museum, which is about 4 or 5 hundred yards from your hotel. I have been countless times as it has loads of great exhibits, some of the worlds finest collections of ancient cultures and civilizations http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/cultures.aspxs , Likewise after the refurb a few years ago is just an amazing space too.

They are copies of split rims... I'm not sure which though... lots of people have them it seems, so I'm sure that someone will come along soon enough with the correct info

Looking good Chris. Daff, you'll have to pop round sometime and we can give her a good going over if you want. The fact that she has a nice new paint job means that she will come up just lovely. We could sort that minor scuff no problem. I agree with CarMad... black cars are a pain in the ass, they are the most rewarding to clean as they come up with an amazing shine, they look absolutely amazing for about 5 mins, then the tiniest bit of dust lands and you can see it!!!

And now for Daves "sensible" RX7: Sneaky peek....... I say sensible as his other one just pushed nearly 1100bhp!!!! but has been dialed down to a manageable 800 and something with 700 and something foot pounds of torque.. whatever it is.... either way some massive figures. We went inside and had some bloody lovely food accompanied by some fun and giggles. I cannot wait for the weather to get a bit better and to do it again when more people can make it. England and Wales both won. Massive congrats to the Taffs, I hate to say it but the Grand Slam was fully deserved, and I think the we deserved to come second so happy dayz all round. I have loads more pics so shout if you want any more

Ians slicky which i think is just right and i love, not quite as low as the last time i saw it, but just a lovely car: Eddies new bumper, with Phil Mitchell, Eddie and Dave. and Eddies teenie, tiny exhaust!!! Now for the non zeds: Daffys new toy, suits him to the ground as I am sure he is an extra in "The only way is Essex" Daffy giving Grant Mitchell, Ian and Andy free tickets to the gun show! Allan and... I'm gonna say Toms? but I'm sure that's wrong, I'm so sorry dude I can't remember your name... for about the 4th time today..... Alan and Toms very nice supra and Aristo.. or GS.

Another Red Lyon meet. 17th March 2012
Well, I had to get up at stupid o'clock to meet Dave (Red Lyon owner) at 8.30am for my MOT, he very kindly had managed to squeeze me in to his rather hectic testing station schedule... Poor Dave had been working from 5.30am!!! He ushered me in and got to work.... some time later, I was a very happy little boy with a pass certificate in my grubby hands. Fast forward 4hrs and a number of Costa coffees later I turned up at the pub, where a few seconds later, Richard Smith turned up in his very nice blue motor... closely followed by... another Richard Smith, in his very nice blue motor....... even more disconcerting was the fact that they looked like a thin version of the Mitchell brothers! :blushing: This is the XFR Jag, which pushes out a measly 523bhp, and even more impressively is like a James Bond car when you fire it up with all sorts of wizardry going on! A couple of drinks later and a few more had turned up. Alas I had received a couple of messages from people saying that they couldn't make it for one reason or another, but the fact that it was raining all morning was probably the deciding factor for most people. However there was representation from a few different clubs with a number of different marques on display and it was really great to see some old friends and meet some new ones. It just reminds why I am a member of car forums, and reminded me how important it is to have as many meets as possible. So here are some pics out back of the pub: The Zed representation.... +1 hairdressers zed replacement :winkiss: Note Daves.... sensible RX7 in the background... Grant Mitchells lovely very nearly standard car I just wish i had got a picture of the interior as it is absolutely mint, with what i think was a very dark blue leather and stunning muted grey blue alcantera. Very understated, very very nice!

Any plans for another Red Lyon meet...?
Happy days... She passed the mot. Just the small matter of £300 for tax and a tank of juice! But I'm legal and loving it... Shame is peeing down with rain really. :(

Any plans for another Red Lyon meet...?
Annoyingly I had to phone the insurance company today as i thought the car was uninsured cos i couldn't find the certificate, however it is insured and they are sending a new certificate in the post.... I will keep hunting through all my different paperwork and see if i can find it. I'll bring a book and have a litre of coffee or two in Costa. If i can find my cert of insurance I'll happily go pick up Andy, If not i'm sure that he can get a lift with someone else or he could bring his mighty TURBO... vectra.

Any plans for another Red Lyon meet...?
yeah, that does suck mate, but on the other hand you will be taking the money.... so pros and cons and all that! Also Dave, how far is the garage from the pub please, and is there anything to do round those parts to keep me busy from 9.30 till lunch? my concern is that the thing won't be taxed, so even if.... i mean when :whistling: it passes i still won't be able to drive anywhere other than home really..
