Caught a rat!
I live in a semi rural village in the New Forest so wildlife is obviously quite abundant and we had been thinking there were mice or even rats in the area. I got a call today from the other half in apanic, she had seen a rat about eight inches long run in through the kitchen door into the lounge and out into the hallway. I com home from work to try and find it but have no idea where it has gone so I go back to work. Anyway I have just finished work again and came in and she tells me there is a smaller one come in the same way and gone behind the boys toys. I started looking thinking it would have gone and found it. I have now caught it in a bucket and filled it with water and covered the top. I feel a little guilty now as I have drowned the rat! Now got to catch the parent and any others that venture our way. Can't put poison down because of my little boy and our dog.

Pulled over for my plate today
I have seen somewhere that there is a link between illegal numberplates and crime. Secondly the police make no money from fixed penalties, any fines barely cover the admin costs but saves money on the judicial system by not taking offenders to court.

Pulled over for my plate today
Also illegal unless it is the address of the numberplate producer.

TOP GEAR, Series 11
And who the new presenter is? Let's hope they have improved it's content, I felt it was getting a bit same old same old and some of the parts are so obviously staged and scripted for best effect.

Rear Seat Belts
The mounting positions are on the J Spec behind the trim where you would find them on a UK model. I think you have to drill the hole though.

Pulled over for my plate today
I know someone who had their number plate revoked and that was after once being advised verbally by a police officer, one fixed penalty notice and then the third time a police officer reported himand he was summoned to court and the plate was revoked and was fined several hundred pounds.

Pulled over for my plate today
Still not legal, insufficient thickness of white border around characters.

Pulled over for my plate today
The rear plate looks acceptable but the front looks like it has insufficient white border thickness around the characters. You probably don't have a BS145 marking on the plate which shows correct reflectiveness? Pink slip- is this a vehicle defect rectification notice? Finally following on from b19rks advice, it may well only be a non endorsable but you do run the risk of DVLA withdrawing your plate without any financial compensation to you.

Z3 S2000 or Elise
I also remember the Series Elise being a far firmer ride, don't get me wrong the Series 2 is firm but the Series 1 is too firm.

Z3 S2000 or Elise
I had an Elise and would recommend it. I only had the 120bhp and it still beat an S200 off the mark, may well loose after 80 mph though but who cares. It was about level pegging upto 80 mph against a WRX Impreza with PPP (260bhp) So definitely go for an Elise. I loved every minute of it. However not cheap to service if done by Lotus. I remember it being about £500 and that was back in 2004. Finally goes for Series 2, the later the better as the roof was made simpler to handle and hence probably less chance of leaking although I never experienced leaks on a 02 plate. They are also far easier to get in and out of.

Opinions on the Mini Cooper S
If at all possible get a JCW one. Even quicker than the Cooper S. My brother's wife had one and they loved it.
