  2. stage 2 hybrids are going on it,and am doing a plenum bypass so if the turbos have the feeds is it best to bypass the plenum to the turbos?thanks greg
  3. ahhh fook thats a total of 300 quid i could have saved then on 5 cars aggggg,just i was sure they wouldnt from what people have told me,but i've never put a car with kph clocks through an mot,moral of this story is dont listen to me LOL :mac1:

  5. do the turbos need to be water feed or can i block off the water feed to the turbos ,and is there any benefit to doing this if it can be done?thanks for any help

  7. well il tell u this for 5500 2 years ago i imported a grade 4.5 40k SB it was a beauty totally standard,but then the one you saw did have a lot of mods on it.personally paying that from japan id expect an unmarked one with no problems.you have more chance m8 of finding rocking horse sh** than getting a car in from japan with an alarm on it ,very very few have them fitted,as for the kph clocks ,im 99.9% sure this is iligal ,as a start the car will not pass the mot with kph clocks on it.i had to convert the cars i got in b4 getting them mot'd or they wouldnt pass,it would be interesting to find out if the car did have an mot on it.Did it have a rear fog light fitted to it? be interesting to find that out as well.when fitting a converter to mph that will de-limit the car m8,analog boost control i wouldnt worry m8.only thing that wud put me off that would be an mot if it had 1,cus it shouldnt have one lol.you did the right thing m8 walk away if you dont feel happy about it.

The problems with the car dont sound that bad however ,are we talking about japcity in derby?if you are walk out the gates start running then keep on running faster and faster and dont stop ever lol.I went up there on a few hopefull occasions to look at rubbish,i even asked if i could see one of the cars running he said the battery was flat and id have to leave a deposit and come back when it had charged!whats the deposite for incase they blew the battery up whilst charging it!!!!
  9. agree ,i went for straight through decat with 2x 5inch rolled in :) when the car came in it had a set of kakimotos on it from the cat back ,if anyone wants em let me no ,there gathering dust

  11. got hold of my m8 who MOTed the car ,he said fueling was ok not over fueling at all,however when i had the exhaust fitted i wonder if that may have caused it to over fuel (decated),i found a set of pistons here http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/engperf.php and at that price im just gona change the bleeders

  13. dude i have the same problem (as well as loads others:( ) ,poss pcv or seals in the turbs ,im having the turbos changed cost £1200 for a set of stage 2 hybrids then you gota get the bleeders fitted.change the pcv valves then if its still doing it maybe its the seals.If you need any advise speak to geoff at zed world in tamworth near birmingham ,he will point you in the right direction and knows what hes talking about get him on 01827259222,best of luck

  15. Il do that with the water cheers,thing is the engine is out at the mo,so if it is buggerd i dont wana put it back in and find i have to get it taken out again ,im getting a headache lol
  16. imoprted a few cars now and they all came back in 3 days ,i took the documents to the dvla and picked em up so saved on postage time.The reg doc took a few weeks to come through though

  18. just been on the phone to a m8 he said the same prolly not had coolant in it just water thats gone dirty ,still got no idea on the oil stinking of petrol ,i just have a bad feeling of piston rings :(

AHHHH the joys of motoring ,had my zed for two months so far a few minor things have gone like the alternator, turbos ,have a serious water leak and until the engine is dropped we duno where thats leaking from ,anyway few questions i need help with.The water drained out is brown,same as the leaking water whats that mean?and the oil drained out stinks of petrol whats that mean ?piston rings possibly?thanks for any advise
  20. yeah turbos are deffinatly original ,i guess by fitting the cats back on and using different oil is just hiding the problem if there on the way out,geoff at zed world said about the pcv's but he thought by the amount of smoke it wasnt really gona be them, thanks for the replys,looks like i'v got to find 1500 quid lol

I recently imported a 1990 80K tt,for the first week no problems at all,i get the alarm fitted taken it down the paint shop to book it in to get it looking perfect,takes it to the exhaust shop and here is where it goes all wrong. I have a system fitted from the down pipes back removing the cats,next day the thing is blasting out light blue smoke on tickover :headvswal.Ive read the seals in the turbos have gone weak and by the reduce in back pressure is what is causing the smoke,so if i replace the cats will it cure the problem or am i looking at replacing the turbos?
