Ok i had another look and found the solenoid plugs i beileve 1 by each throttle body they looked fine and were plugged in. I then did an ECU test and it came up code 55, anymore ideas?

Here it is other than that ill have to wait till tomorrow got work in 30mins :(

Funny you mention that i did notice 1 plug in that area not connected to anything will have to get a picture.

I dont think its had a boost controller before, but i cant be 100%. Could leaks be a cause also? Ill have to do an ecu check this week.

Ok guys looking for some advice, just fitted an after market boost gauge today which reads in Bar. Started the car and it goes into the minus but vibrates or flicks up and down slightly only between 2 lines at idle, but i thought nothing of it took the car out for a blast. With the pedal to the floor the absolute max boost i get is 0.5bar which i think is about 7psi? Stock should be 9psi? Or is this normal? Thanks in Advance.

Sorry for late reply was in work, yeah i realised that after looking at the airbox again. This leads me to think is it really that bad it looks like a pretty well designed system. And tbh the induction kit (im running dual mushrooms btw) wasnt that impressive or does it come alive once you have upped the boost?

I just installed an induction kit on my car and i noticed after the paper filter in the lower part of the box you have the pipe leading to the MAF sensor and another 2 pipes 1 leading right 1 leading left under the headlights are these part of the AIV system? Also side note the airbox was a pain getting out lol.

Hey people looking for some advice. My 300zx is currently in a garage getting its autobox swapped out. I was intending on doing the job myself so i removed the exhaust system which included the midpipes, cat and cat back. Im wondering now will it be safe for me to drive the car about half a mile from the garage to my house. I understand backfires can be dangerous etc. Thanks in advance. Rob

Autobox died day i got it lol, lost reverse and it was stuck against a wall had to get it recovered by the AA. Had it dumped face down on my drive so it was stuck till fixed. I have the box ready to go in but i kinda lost interest. Now ive decided this weekend after somebody offering to buy my other car to take the exhaust and drive shaft off and get it to a garage. Gonna use the garage in court farm industrial estate they apparenly specialise in imports.

my car hasnt been on the road since june, its been sat at the bottom of my drive. and cause of the building site next to my house its covered in mud and dust sorry sight indeed :)

Hi guys, finally decided to try get my Z back on the road thanks to selling my Calibra :) Anyway quick question their are two wires 1 on each cat im assuming these are the cat temp sensor's? and if they were to be removed they shouldnt affect the running of the car? Thanks Rob.

i was looking to go up to about 400bhp, as i still wanna keep it as an everyday runner. it does have some problems atm though like i said autobox dead, the cat temp light comes on on start up and flickers on and off, some sort of burning smell which i thought was the auto box but could be the cats thinking about it now and the temp guage on the dash flickers up and down like crazy :)

Here she is, and yes i wouold be intrested in an Autobox :)
