  11. Personally yes mate!-been the 1.7 then probably a Go'er.The round plastic things are Solenoid valves IIRC for vac egr etc.Could tell better if I was looking at it! :D
  12. Ahhh!-my bad!,thought you was on about 1.7 diesels! :slap: The 2.0 litre (as pictured aint' the Isuzu) was crap in the early cars.
  13. The Isuzu was fitted to some Astras as well as the GM X17dtl low blo' (pile of cack!) It was also fitted to The Combo van at least upto 54'plates that I know of! Stick the pics up mate,we'll go from there! ;)
  14. Graham,they're known as Astra G's mate. Good motor IMHO,easy to fix and reliable,the isuzu lump is brill! ;) If the ol' Cav ever gave out this would be the wifes next car!
  15. Nice!-fetch silly money tho' :nono: then again how easy are they to work on!!!!! ;)
  16. Can't see a problem replacing with high pressure hose,just make sure it's routed away from edges/heat etc! Pirtek will be your best bet. ;)
  17. Can be a pain job mate,especially if the right equipment isn' available! Ask on here if anyone has a good Knuckle/bearing assy going. ;)
  18. It'll be the tension rods,either bushes fooked(what you describe as rust leaking is the gel in em') or the bolts to the bottom arm or both,check lower arm for cracks here too! ;)
