Do a sniff test first!-you could be reading more into this than there is. Iv'e had leaking turbo coolant pipes give the same symptoms.........

My one piece of advice............DO NOT SCRATCH IT! Lol! New loom every time mate and loads of silicone tube/hoses to replace every pipe etc you can, including the ones that look O.k. :ph34r:

Has it got an electric fan? O2 sensors are probably duff,better to disconnect em' to stop weird signals to the ECU. Is the boost/vac hose open?-if so then it needs blanking.

Managed to do a bit on mine Today!-slow progress but I'm getting old......... Here's a rare sight, removed the stone chip from the sills and they are just like new!!-this car keeps surprising me just how solid it is............. just need to remove the swage line now.......
