Hi Mate, welcome to the club. To answer your question, Yes the gear boxes WERE reliable 15/20 years ago when the vehicles were new, but after years of abuse/ wear and tear you will find the most boxes will have had work done to them! but once maintained correctly, you could have years of trouble free usage. I have had 4 gearboxes over the last 7 years of 300zx driving, BUT i have boosted the power of my car and the power seems to shread the boxes You will find many great repair garages on this forum one being `zed world` who would be happy to fix /repair auto boxes I still drive happily with 2 of my cars with the auto box in perfect working order regards Daz

As above, I`m really Pissed off as i am self employed and wasted a day off work with no money earned. They said they would turn up between 8am-12.30 for a 3 hr job, so i got up, put the cars on the road, took the roof off my car port(they needed it off to get the ladders through to reach the top side of the house) and waited till 12.40 ,I rang the main office and they said they would get the Warrington branch to phone me 1 hr before they arrive!! 3pm still no show or phoe call!!, i rang again and eventually got through to my local warrington branch, they said the machine broke down a wont be doing it today!! WTF He said Saturday may be possible, but still no return phone call!! :headvswal Has anyone else had problems with `MARK GROUP` Insulation?? what would you do??

I was just readin my reply back,and it now look`s like i am a boastin TW*T, but i work hard and like my gadgets, and spend quite a bit of time researching gadgety stuff and IMO plasma is the best, apart from my True HD300" projector of course :nelson: Daz :D You know what though, i am pissed off today!! i have waited in all day for the cavity wall guys to fill the cavity with fluff and no fooker has turned up and no phone calls, i have wasted a day off (self employed) so no money, and spent all day on the computer :headvswal

Smilies are great!!!! In a positive note, i find it hard to reply to a thread without coming across either negative, angry or happy etc, I think smilies or emotions work really well to get the point across in the term its meant to come across, if you know what i mean :p Daz;)

I actually like the glass in front of the screen, it gives depth to the tv, and cleans really easy, I have never got a reflection where mine is positioned! DaZ ;)

I bought a philips 42" HD plasma about 4 years ago when they were £1200, and had been reduced from £1900!!! It is still brilliant now and better than most lcd`s But my mate who sits in front of a computer at work 8hrs, look`s at reviews and prices all day, bought himself a Panasonic viera 32" LCD as he thought it was the best on the market for quality and price, he would now consider buying a plasma as he say`s the colours are more vivid and brighter on Plasma`s. So personally i would go Plasma as the battle for format is still strong, and i reckon will never get won. Dont forget LED tv is just coming onto the market too, but probably just hype!! Get the best tv you can afford, plasma 1080p true hd Its true about screen burn, but normally happens when gaming or pausing the tv for ages,I`ve never had a problem though DaZ.

Hi Andy, Thanks for all that ;) The engine is still in at the moment, but the car is a scrapper that Isaac and i have bought, we will be stripping it down and removing the engine soon, so i was just wandering if there was anything good to sell after the engine was out, or just to keep bits for spares.
