  1. Usually there is a classified ad or 2 on the go for these but for some reason ebay has just been flooded (compared to the norm) with them - there are 8 advertised today http://motors.shop.ebay.co.uk/Cars-/9801/i.html?_nkw=300zx&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282
  2. great photo mate, your dad looks so proud holding your daughter. Thoughts are with you.
  3. Agree they look sooooo good, still on my wish list as a future purchase...one day!! As for the one you've been looking at Craig, I also agree with your slight concern as I think it does look a bit on the plain side and I think you know yourself deep down the you really want another zed. I say put your last experience behind you, as you've said you have learned from it, so get yourself a zed and if its one needing work then take it straight to one of the well respected members on here like zedworld and I can't see you ever regretting it mate.
  4. worst fight I've ever seen...I was really up for this but it was such an anti climax...Haye shook him in the last round but apart from that a complete bore. Haye should have come out fighting from the start and finished the russian but in interview he claimed to have hurt his right hand in 2nd round. Waste of money - at least we didn't need to sit up all night waiting for it
  5. Aye it should be a around 10pm start, I cant wait for it :hyper: should be good value for money unlike half the ones where you need to sit up til 3 or 4am only for it to be all over in the first 3 rounds
  6. Save yourself butchering a gear knob - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TYPE-VR-Push-Button-Engine-Start-Gear-Knob_W0QQitemZ180417625245QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2a01ba7c9d
  7. cool, I could take them off your hands if I get any confirmation of my late night maths! If no responses then I'll try to go over the figures a t more reasonable hour tonight and check that they will fit.
  8. I've got a set of wheels from an old car that I think might look good on my z31 and after looking at some guides online and doing the math I think that they will fit with the use of a pcd adapter (anybody got any experience using these - OK to use for every day use?) and without having to change the tyres...anyone care to do the math and confirm? Current setup: 5 Lug bolt pattern: 5x114.3 15x6.5 +20mm Tyres: 215/60/15 New setup: 5 Lug bolt pattern: 5x120 17x7.5front 8.5 rear +41 Tyres: front- 225/45/17 rear- 220/40/17 Going by the guide on ZBUM's site the offset should be alright, particularly with the addition of the pcd adapter...but I have been trying to work this out at 2am so my math may be way offv:o so anybody in the morning fancy a mental arithmetic work out then feel free to have a go...pretty please :D
  9. Leave the head unit in and leave sat nav on the windscreen and spend a couple of nights on the back seat under a blanket with a bat in your hand
  10. I've used a few of these tools on other sites but this one is the first one I've come across to feature 300zx z31 + z32, lets you customise colour and a few other useful features to give you an idea what the wheels might look like on your car...its not exactly grease lightening but quicker than photoshoping http://www.andysautosport.com/wheels/nissan_300zx.html
  11. If you've got insurance on another car then just phone that insurer and ask them to temp insure you. This is what I have done when there is overlap between buying and selling a car, worked with a few different companies, one for a week and another for a month, last one for the week was only £14...that was admiral, I've done it with esure when I was with them as well
  12. cheers, haha no he just happened to be in the background
  13. Aye 28th is a possibility, could do with a fair bit of cosmetic tidy up work and badly in need of a new set of wheels and some spacers. Got a set of BMW alloys that I'm trying to offload to go towards the wheel fund
  14. you need to be really quick Craig - I sold a Ka earlier this week for my girlfriend, within 5 mins of the post going on gumtree my phone started ringing...and kept doing so for the next 2 hours til I got the post offline. The reason - traders are finding it hard to get cheap stock due to the scrapage scheme so they are buying anything cheap regardless of condition - the trader I sold to told me this. Buyers (like I was) are happy for a quick sale so the trader says on the phone that there will be no test drive, they just come and pick up the keys, fill out the paperwork, give you the dosh and off they go. The Ka drove off 90 minutes after I posted the ad! 3 page MOT failure sheet listed in the ad along with photos of the rust, complete banger that I was considering taking to the scrap yard sold for £300
  15. got the car back today and found my card reader so thought I'd stick up some pics that have been on the camera for a while
  16. waterpistol on bedsit table :x:
  17. I thought head gasket was gone on my z31 a few weeks back, water pissing out the side of the engine...it was running fine and got me home, I started it up a few weeks later and let it idle for a while, no water coming out but it did start to misfire by this point. Started it up last night and took it to garage without any drama except this misfire. Mechanic phoned me today and said he found a split hose (possible that the hose was water off the engine and when I looked at it in the dark that first night it looked like it was right out of the engine) and replaced that before doing a pressure test which came back fine. Then a sniffer test - all OK so no head gasket issue. That's the good news. He said when he checked the plugs it looks like the plug is burning leaner in number 6 and the reading is 'not good' - all other appear fine, although he did say number 2 wasn't brilliant but it was number 6 that was giving a bad reading. He said the injector seemed fine. Suggestions?? Tomorrow he is going to try a new distributor cap as mine was cracked, maybe from the water spraying night. Also a compression test. Sounds like the heads may need to come off afterall for further investigation, or maybe just cut my losses.
  18. I'd agree about the Clio - you should give one a test drive. I bought a W plate Clio S 1.4 this week for my girlfriend and it drives really well, first Renault I had driven, had already tested two Tigras and a Corsa before going to give the Clio a go and it wins hands down, and I find myself finding excuses to nip to the shops in it now :)
  19. Frank and Furter (Frankfurter) Chip and Olata (Chipolata) :D
  20. penultimate ;) by the looks of yesterdays qualifying it looks like they may need out boards instead of tyres
  21. I think its OK if you can borrow trade plates from somewhere, I did this when I worked for a recovery company and the tax ran out on my car, they just gave me the trade registration plates to put on dash and parcel shelf. The main issue of driving yours away from the garage is your insurance, if the car is on public road without tax then your insurance may be invalidated.
  22. your dog looks like its eyeing up lunch, only problem is...lunch is in a cage! :)
  23. Here's my 'misty blue' before the old firm game
  24. haha watching a great dane humping must be quite an intimidating experience
