As some of you know, just bought a n/a auto, going to change the auto to a manual, but also want to go down a single turbo route. Are the engine block, crank and internal totaly different to the TT model? Just wondering if all the internals will need uprating? Last question are there any good garges around that would do this conversion if I decide not to do it myself. Thanks Mark

Thanks for the replies guys :-) The scoob is a nice motor Stellaz, thats why I couldnt sell it to buy a more exspensive Z, so I thought I would get a cheap one and mod it to how I want it will be fun but will take a good while lol. Best of both worlds lol Cheers Mark

Well its a project that wont happen over night guys as money doesnt grow on trees lol, but after sorting the body work i.e paint work, would like a manual conversion may have ago at doing it myself, and I think I might go down the single turbo route, depend on funds The is solid with not much rust and was happy with the performance considering it is not a turbo, the automatic is good on the motor ways but setting off slowly it takes abit to set off lol. JUst got a Z today and drove it back home soon as you hit 60mph you get a constant Bong or binging noise, for 300 miles lol Anyone got clue what this is and how to stop it? Cheers Mark

Never thought about getting a n/a and putting a single turbo on, good idea, but could the internals take it or would I need to change rods and piston ect? how much money would a turbo kit cost? Got a nitro kit in the loft off my old vauxhall bu dont fancy that route, eats the internals lol. I have and wont part with it a 340bhp Subaru impreza type r, which is quick, but always wanted a Z for its looks but would need to have a bit of poke lol. Thanks a million Mark

The guy said its starts but when you rev it, it dies, he was told could be a knock sensor? Mark :-)
