  1. strange...i turned the lights on and the horn went once and that now seems to have corrected the problem?! Whether it stays like that is another story tho! There was a loose screw sitting under the fuse box cover and i tried to grab it and it fell into the engine somewhere :x: god knows where that went, but it still happended after that disappeared anyway so im hoping that manged to work its way out somewhere! Im hoping replacing some relays will help, are these expensive?
  2. nightmare mate, what made it worse is that i was overtaking a cyclist at the time!!
  3. Hi Guys, For a while now the horn has been working on and off, but today was going down the road and it came on by itself and was on continously! I pulled the relay out and left her in the pub car park....when i came out the drivers side main beam was on, but only on on that side! I got home and turned the engine off and the drivers side main beam was flickering on and off and i could hear the relay in the fuse box tapping away. I decided to put the horn relay back in and now when i beep the horn the drivers side main beam flashes as well!! Anyone had this? Also my windscreen washers dont work either, so im wondering whether i need to replace some of the relays perhaps? Dan.
  4. Smithy in the traders section offers some greg dupree divorced downpipes, which i personally had fitted and have noticed a difference in response. Im currently waiting for some de-cat pipes to be sent over from Greg dupree in the US as i couldnt find anyone here who offered them, only thing is u get stung on shipping a bit, but i believe the quality is second to none. Not saying that the other traders on here dont offer good stuff cos they do, but just might be another option for you. Cheers, Dan.
  5. Hi Guys, Reading up on some of the new pads just released from EBC. Their Yellow Stuff "R" is now out and supposed to give excellent cold response as well as under high temps, previously i thought these were just meant fro track use. I believe they have also improved the red stuff pads. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html Has anyone fitted these pads? I have the black stuff, but looking for a bit more bite without killing the discs...what do you think? Cheers, Dan.
  6. ;) hope to have them soon mate....yeah be nice to get the manifolds in all but dont think my credit card will let me! :( Unless my company is feeling generous this year!
  7. Guys, I have the dupree divorced downpipes (supplied by Smithy  ), just wondering if anyone has fitted their test pipes and X-pipe as well and whether they needed any modding to fit? Cheers, Dan.
  8. Just a simply join between the pipes then, nothing special?
  9. Ok been down the bodyshop today and tried to get under there and get some pics....it looks to me like they have removed the H-pipe, although its difficult to get under....heres a couple of pics... Do you know if u can get performance H-pipes and that they would fit or do you need to fully rip out the centre section and build it in there? Dan.
  10. What did you see on 5th gear about optimax mate??
  11. Cheers mate. No-one got any shots of the underside of the motor then?
  12. Mate go to elephant.co.uk and add your mum or dad as a secondary driver and that knocks 100quid off straight away as there are more people dependant on the car, doesnt work with all ins but does with them. See what they come up with. ;)
  13. Welcome mate....im 24 and 0 NCBS and i pay £780 fully comp on a 10month scheme with Elephant but thats notifying them of a few mods....i think it was £650 standard. oh and that includes an accident :slap: HTH. Dan.
  14. yeah i had a slightly different note on one compared to the other aswell...wonder whether its that then....i'll have to get it on a ramp when shes back....this H-Pipe is a seperate section is it or is it part of the CAT pipe?
  15. Trying to find a complete picture of the system to work out where this is as i havent got the motor at the mo. But do you think if i got resonators fitted in the centres that would have the same effect as an H pipe?
  16. Does anyone have a shot of the underside of the car and point out what they should have left in?
  17. and its gone :( Cheers guys i'll keep me eye out for one.
  18. Do you know what mate im not sure what they did, i havent had the car for a few months but hopefully be back in the next couple of wks so i will have a look. You dont have any pics of this H Pipe do ya? Cheers
  19. Guys, A while back a had a custom system fitted from Haywood & Scott (if anyones heard of them) in Basildon. The build is good quality and pleased with them, however i had to have removable bungs made for the pipes at the end as the drone at about 2500-3000rpm was too much and made my ears hurt! I was wondering if anyone else has this. I wanted to get rid of the bungs really as it sounds better without them, but was wondering if i put resonators in the centre or de-cat pipes it might be enuf to get rid of the drone. What do you reckon? Cheers, Dan.
  20. cool might check those out then ;) Cheers
  21. The lightweight pulley > is that one of those unorthodox crank pulleys you can get? Does this make much diff, ive heard they can get you 25bhp extra?? Dan
  22. ;) cheers fella.
  23. However UK do have a sweet leather interior....not sure whether you can get that on the Japs can you?
