Guest Squidula
Hi, Ive found a 94 uk auto. Its on 125k however, which is a worry, but apparently it has just had a nissan service, and has various history etc. Says its totally standard and from the pictures looks it. My questions are, its up for £3.5k, it this too much? I deally i want a UK one, and from a garage so i can part ex my current car for it, plus have some kind of comeback if it blew up on the way home etc. A bit short of time since my insurance runs out on the 20th and i dont want to renew it only to have to cancel it a month or two later. komarme
Have a look at the cars for sale section. The mileage is a bit high I think for the price. The ZX market is on the floor right now so they are going cheap. I know a guy in Erith who sells them 1992NISSAN 300 ZX Twin Turbo, 59000 miles, metallic black, black leather or cloth interior, superb condition throughout, radio CD, a/c, c/l, 10 months MoT, 5 months tax, quick sale, completely original and BRAND NEW cambelt and water pump. £3,750. Tel: (01322) 347602 or (07891) 099932 Price: £3,750 Have a look on autotrader.co.uk for the picture Hope this helps

Guest T-Pot
i wouldnt pay that for such a high mileage car personally
Guest Squidula
Yeah, well needs to be uk spec. Seen a white one thats nearer than the 125k one, getting the sales people to ring me back when theyre free.
komarme
Hey Martin what kind of body kit is that. I have the same front on my car but it has a short back 1/4 panel skirt instead of the side skirt.
Guest Squidula
ok white ones been sold :(
Yowser
Whats the reason for UK only ? Insurance ? If Over 25 then insurance between UK and Jap is neglidgeable. I would personally pay more on Insurance if I had to for a Low mileage Import, over a high mileage Uk car (depends on how much difference ofcourse), but I only pay £600 a year now for my Jap TT (26yrs old, 4yrs NCB). Guest Squidula
Yeah well im under 25. Will only be driving it until feb/march so want to get the policy in parents name and have me as an additional driver for the next few months. Then itll be garaged are loving restored. Or thats the plan.
komarme
More reason to go for a good import one as the insurance will be reasonable.
Guest Squidula
Why will the insurance be reasonable? It makes it easier for me getting quotes if its UK too, which is a plus. Ideally id want as lower mileage as possible. TT is a must, pref leather but not essential. Standard is though. Or very close to standard, dont mind cd player, and speakers directly replaced with newer ones of equal size, engine completely standard and so on. Alarm/immoby would be a plus though. Adrian Flux said they do allow temporary additional drivers, but ive yet to get a quote from them.
komarme
If its in your parents name the policy will be cheaper. Contact elephant.co.uk Im 40 and they quoted me £356. with a protected no claims
Guest T-Pot
No offence fella, but if you have the money a full restore is going to take, then a few quid between the insurance will be nothing.
vijay
and don't be fooled by Nissan servicing as most of the dealers don't have a clue about these cars, some don't even know they are Nissan's!!! lol Vijay

stellaZ
mine is uk and white, it has a 126 000 miles on it with quite a bit of dealer history i keep up regular servicing, it runs great the uk ones rust like hell (trust me i know lol) i also lash the living daylights out of it and it still pulls strong (touch wood)
Funkysi
How old are you then if you're worried about insurance?
brakedust300
I first got mine at 20 (with a DR10 :x: ) on my own insurance policy, and she's a jap import, no real difference between quotes if you ring about, and they are better IMO
greg
120k is fine aslong as the car has been mantained and loved then theres no reason why it wont last until 250k miles auto boxes will die as will turbos expect to put 2k aside for any problems wether it be uk or import makes no differance, find a manual they will last longer, syncros are starting to fail but are a much more desirable car to buy ;)

W1NG
Whats the reason for UK only ? Insurance ? If Over 25 then insurance between UK and Jap is neglidgeable. You say that like it's true! Really all depends on where you live first, then probably age...! I'm coming up to two years over the 25 limit and I'm still getting silly quotes on Jap imports. On a UK how ever I've managed to get it down below the 4 figure mark!
he who dares...
I can vouch for the rust on UK ones!! Think the Jap ones had tougher paint or so someone was telling me, could be blx. mine is uk and white, it has a 126 000 miles on it with quite a bit of dealer history i keep up regular servicing, it runs great the uk ones rust like hell (trust me i know lol) i also lash the living daylights out of it and it still pulls strong (touch wood)
