  1. because the current ones are cack
  2. It hasnt be sat un my garage half as long as my car has been sat in somebody elses unfortunatley LOL
  3. Yep, something i will be considering long and hard this weekend.
  4. The car has had an in depth full examination by a well known and respected Z- Specialist, so im quietly confident more things wont be found, once thats is all done. But still Considering this zed has cost me my silver one, plus the money to buy it, plus the above costs it become a rather expensive purchase.
  5. If done though the car will have a known strong engine, New Suspension (KYB) + Brakes inc Calipers on front and HICAS Joint on rear, it will be solid underneath. Cant think there will be much left to go wrong.
  6. Based on the Assesments i have come up with the following Welding Work : £350.00 Approx Fixing Stuff should have been done by SWZ £240 Approx + The Towage Charges from Weston to Birmingham NON SWZ or Welding Issues £600.00 Approx Totals : £1,190 Approx + VAT £1,400 approx.
  7. Ive already lost £££££ if this one dies, it my last 300zx
  8. i could not even get online last night.
  9. Corrosion / welding issues O/S Front sill ( Impact or poor jacking damage and heavy corrosion ) O/S Rear sill ( Very bad corrosion, holed through to rear quarter area) N/S Front sill (Impact or poor jacking damage and heavy corrosion ) N/S Rear sill ( Very bad, holed through to inside car and rear quarter area) Front radiator support ( pitted ) Rear bumper support O/S ( small area of corrosion) Rear diff area ( heavy surface rust) This car is 10x worse than the silver one i broke, worse thing is a lot of thinks required for this car were actually replced on the silver car before it was scrapped, like the HICAS arms and brakes :(
  10. hows your car getting on zogg?
  11. and there is more Dump valves not connected ( no recircs either) Air con outside sensor missing Knock sensor failed Air leaks on engine plumbing Wrong spark plugs fitted Idle speed incorrect set up Throttle and cruise control cables too tight Aiv supply pipes mixed up at throttle Brake fluid low Battery clamp missing Fuel filter bracket bolts missing Front shock absorbers both loose at top mounts o/s head lamp very poor beam ( incorrect bulb fitting) Steering wheel centre rubber pad pealed back Small corrosion patch on O/S inner wing top Cooler bracket insufficient Undercoating cleaning of surfaces etc
  12. I have an AEM Truboost, but havent installed yet though, been sat im my garage for about 8 months
  13. 1st part of assesment. Quite a lot to do there me thinks. Mechanical Rear shock absorbers securing nuts loose at the top in the boot area N/S outer hicas bush and inner hicas steering arm bush worn ( MOT failure) O/S turbo bolts missing Gaskets / sealant missing from both down pipes where they meet the turbo elbows Missing exhaust downpipe flange nut Small section brake pipes to the rear calipers need replacing Front brake calipers are seized on Gear lever support bracket missing Exhaust heat shield missing Other Front N/S tyre tread below legal minimum limit ( MOT failure ) Front O/S tyre tread close to legal minimum Paint work very dull and needs a good cut and polish A quick check over the engine has thrown up a couple of issues where it looks to have some pipes not connected correctly and some mixed up
  14. better stop drinking in seeing double lol
  15. Some very nice parts there
  16. Current car hasnt made itself worthy of a sig pic yet
  17. Didnt see it posted, have a good day :)
  18. Nope none of us have cars on the road to talk about lol
  19. green is unleaded fuel, red is leaded
  20. I used both in my silver 300zx with a central 20 ecu and the BP stuff was rubbish
  21. problem with the senators is that the norm setting on the suspension makes then too soft, i found them wallowy on the motorway. the other setting were to hard. The carlton, especially with the 2.6 engine is very smooth, best riding car after a ciroen xantia i have driven.
  22. those TDCI-i were dangerous when getting onto a motorway in the wet, they had real bad tendancy to spin the front wheels as traction isnt that great. TBH my 1993 Carlton feels a nicer cruiser than a mondeo, and its RWD.
  23. sad news hope everything gets better soon
  24. Good communication, calling people to let them know what is going on or if something has cropped up that needs doing or will delay work. I got fed up with having to call to find out if my car was being worked on, i very impressed with zedworld so far as Geoff even called me at 9pm to inform me my car had arrived and to mail me some pics :)
  25. what about mine :) I never ever received a members pack :(
