  1. Problam with the SW is there is a big gap of nothing in the middle. Most members either live on the coast or around the north of the area. Nothing against people from Taunton, well unless its Greg lol Swindon used to come under the SW, but its one of those areas where your bang inbetween to area's. Most areas centre around a town or city that has quote a few zeds, but as the centre of ours is Taunton, how many zed owners do we have there?
  2. But for example from Bristol to Penzence is over 3 hours each way and will cost £70.00 in fuel from Bristol. Japfest is more of a National Event not a REO event. It was just a suggestion and it will just have to stay how it is with independant mini meets being arranged. Didnt mean to ruffle feathers but seems this has been the case, surely we would want something that would get more zed owners out in their cars meeting up.
  3. It is a discussion and not a decision. I think the club will look at it and make a decision after speaking with yourself. We are only members and we just make suggestions not decisions. As i said I think you are doing a great job, i think Anna and Dave did aswell. Its just that since I have been a member the West Country and the South West have tended to be quite seperate. I know you have never seen me at a meet, mainly due to my zed being off the road for 16 months, but before that I was a regular. TBH when I was the SW REO I wished they split the region, would have made my life easier.
  4. As i said in my first post i think Lisa is doing a great job, I myself had the same when i did it because I got hassle of the Devon Cornwall group as i didnt do much down their way. There area is just too big for Lisa to be able to keep everybody happy, i wouldnt want her to get offended she has bought a close nit group in Devon/Cornwall that we never had before which is great.
  5. but we used to have pretty big meets in the SW, lots of those mmebers are still around. There are a few cars in bristol now and Gloucester seems to have a fair few too. if it was split there could be one meet avery 3 months on the border between the 2. Farthest south I went was WSM when i arranged them which was unfair on the Devon/Cornwall lot. I just think we should get as many people out in their cars as possible, you know what our first meet was like dave it was me you and greg but I built on it and you built on it further so we had great meets.
  6. its got the door cards with the cusion bit on which i think Si is after
  7. nice ill keep my eye out for it as your so close :)
  8. going back when I was SW REO i found i very difficult to accomodate the guys doen in Devon and Cornwall as it would be a fair distance for them to travel if a meeting was arranged in gloucester or bristol. Now we have the REO in devon its seems the other way around, allthough Lisa is doing a great job i feel the region is too large for one REO. What do others think?
  9. how come fungalsi has a manual then
  10. The Auto's in Carlton are probally the best Autos i have driven allthough my old 2.0's were smoother than my old and current 2.6's
  11. That wasn't me, we have had 2 kids now so all the urges have gone LOL
  12. Funny thing is i wont let my kids walk behind my zed with the engine running as i know it pumps out so much crap with no cats. Well that and the fact the little shits kept sticking things in the pipes.
  13. OK its not 10 mins but 1st is a bit of a bugger
  14. will its a new clutch supposedly so it might be a syncro, but i just dont enjoy driving it like my FR auto.
  15. auto driver dont mind stopping as they dont have to spend the next 10 mins trying to get the crap gearbox in 1st
  16. speedemon has my old box and trying as hard as he can he still hasnt managed to kill it
  17. SWB are crap too as they look like they have been chopped and welded back together
  18. dont help that my FR auto beat a UK spec supra turbo in the dry, murdered a Tuned Imprezza RA and kept with a GTR skyline both in the pouring down rain. My manual got its arse kicked by a 645i because i missed a friggin gear LOL
  19. wrong way round, they zed with its power an torque make it such an effortless car to drive, the manual takes all that away.
  20. i admit that 2nd gear in a manual is pretty awesome just the other 4 are crap lol
  21. i loved the double kick from the auto, the first when it kicked down and the secone when the turbo's spooled up. could not tell which was which but it put a smile on my face
  22. i was comparing it against my fast road auto which is far superior to the manual, the std ones are a tad lazy, the fast road auto was awesome.
  23. having owned a fast road auto and now a manual 300zx i find the manual box rubbish, its notchy not very precise and now the dump valves going off every 2 seconds pisses me off. my FR auto would kill my manual every day of the week. 2 different clutches in mine and its still shite.
