Help Needed
these parts get sold as complete sets from various traders n breakers...it's very unlikely you'll get the parts one at a time even if you had a list....make sure you get a TT manual box if you currently have a TT auto etc...its gonna cost @£1500-£1800 to convert and you may find waiting lists with some traders...good luck anyway

sumthing scary hapened yesterday concerning my zed
when i saw this post last night i was too shocked to post a reply....i thought i'd let the pack decide the flavour of response...well i'm in with the majority on this... Indyzx you're miles better off posting this kind of stuff and chatting it over with teen's on ICQ or Yahoo groups or any other number of forums out there...you're storytelling talents are wasted on us....but all the same you've gave us a good laugh....come back and post other stuff by all means....but leg overs and burn up's with chav racers isn't gonna win you any pals on here...still each to their own...anyway if you're gonna crash n burn you're zed in the near future can you try an keep the wing mirrors and autobox intact cos their is always a shortage of them on here.

Turbo Timer?
i got the older version of the DTT X TURBO TIMER.....i put where i cant see it...tucked under the centre console by my left leg...just eased the panel out a little and slid it behind...once set to auto never needs looking at unless you want to see your boost all the time the stock gauge is ok'ish in its accuracy but probably a bit slack after 15 years....the worst is its analogue (needle type) and hard to see exactly what it is pointing at....therefore its much easier to read numbers off a digital display :)
-
Turbo Timer?
yeah....Blitz do an automatic version which set the time length...not very expensive...and can act as a boost gauge...more acurate than the stock one...so you can see if you got any boost leaks or your running safety boost etc
-
Turbo Timer?
ok...its a device which detects how much you've thrashed the turbo's during a drive and then sets a timer...so when you pull up and switch off the ignition the engine runs for that extra amount of time....this is to stop oil being burnt in the turbo's and shortening their life span....HTH

300zx TT winter maintenance
i would have thought you'd need a cold winter grade oil in the engine for starters living in Finland...but i'm not an oil expert so not sure which one would suit the parrafin heaters keep the damp and frost out basically...in a closed garage they will even dry the whole car saving damage from rust...popular with classic car buffs if memory serves me right

how do i check if my cambelts about to go?
the crazy thing is as stated above...lots of motor manufact's say check your belts at certain intervals in the service book...but it costs just as much labour to check it as it does to replace it...so the checking is utterly pointless...just stick to the guidelines which IIRC is 60,000 miles then replace on a 300 zx...and yep do the other stuff at the same time like water pump..etc

300zx TT winter maintenance
why not just tick the motor over for 15 mins once a week....set a reminder on your email...if its very cold you can get those parrafin heaters to go under cars...keeps the damp out and burns for days without refueling

Got a wrist slap from Ebay.
ebay...chavbay...bootfairbay...its a lottery if anything...still its amazing what folks will pay for junk...or for that matter want for their junk....went to a boot fair last week...saw a metal detector..early 80's rusty looking in places...spoke with the guy it had been in his garage for 15 years untouched...i said great that'll suit my lad...here's a £5... ....i said fine back to the garage it goes for another 15 years....honestly some folks need reminding its a boot fair not an auction...:D

350Z Engine
the Z33 engine onits own has got to be @£6k....you can buy some seriously modded Z32's for that...after spending a lot of time looking into the Z33 option i have reckoned you'll need to spend @£6.5k getting a turbo kit on it which will put it up to @ 380bhp....total outlay @£30k...its granted you'll get a newer looking (more relaible ?) motor for your money but pound for pound taking into account the insurance and running costs of a Z32 and the fact they have reached the end of the depreciation cycle its poor value.....though each to their own...the V8 engine forum is in the links section...:)

oh for sure do the rear this is essential as the car sits low and every bloody headlight shines right in the back...sides are a bit OTT IMHO .....(except back/rear quarters)...as for £20...i think a 0 is missing there..:D
