Here's the problem: So i took the Plenum off.....: Then i took the rocker covers off: Jeff (zworld) told me to check for gaps between the lifters and the cams, checked out fine, so now its decision time, what should i do next? Anything too look for? Or should i jusy get a new engine from Jeff? :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

No but i will do tomorrow mate, taking the plnum off and the Pas Side rocker cover to take a look at valves, someone suggested this to me.

Thanks mate, did a search, read a few things on leakage tests. Just need someone with a test kit.

Anyone have a cylinder leakage testing kit? I need someone that could come and test my Z out with it. Plenty of :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: in it for ya! :bow:

Any clues how to do this mate? Do i have to remove the plenum? Sorry, bit thick when it comes to compression tests!

What would a wet Compression test tell me mate? I only did a dry test. Would one point more to the valves?

Got hold of a compression tester from COS, did the test on the Z and here are the results. So my Right Bank is screwed! What is the next course of action? Can anybody suggest what might cause this? :cry: :shock: Gutted....

I'm willing to pay only £5 for the items above, cuz thats all the car is worth... Here's the problem: * Its badly missfiring * Due to the misfire it idles like a bitch (to a stall) * Sounds smoother when i rev to 3000+ Here's what i have checked: * Its sparking ok on all cylinders * Checked for vacuum leaks * No Dodgy wires * PTU is perfect (swapped with Cos's, no change). * Put me Cunzult on the car, all sensors are ok. All Solenoids Click Ok too. * Added new Denso Iridium Spark Plugs Too So the question is what fook is it the problem? Ever since the oil change it has done this! Someone suggested it might be stuck valves, but if the oil is thinner why would they stick? What do you guys suggest? I dont wanna drive it so cant take it to ********. Should i take the Plenum Off? Exactly mate, i still dont know, which is another reason for overiding in the engine bay!

There is a way of doing it without taking the dash out, BUT, its a fooker, i tried myself, which is why i ended up overriding in the engine bay instead! There is one screw thats a fooker to get too. So i'm gonna wait till i get a new heater matrix, then i'm taking the dash out.... Best way!

If you dont fancy taking the heater matrix out for a while, what i did was to override the heater matrix from the engine side, those two pipes on the pic just need connecting together. This allows you to still drive your car in the mean time.

Piston Slap anyone? Sounds like it, but dont take my word for it. Piston Slap happens when the pistons are getting worn and become too small for the cylinders, as the pistons heat up they expand and fit the cylinders property, hence the noise disappears when warm.

ok if i plug the connector was is supposed to happen if its working? ANd what is supposed to happen if its not!?

I am, i'm looking for 6 connectors, so count me in!

Ah i see mate, i've noticed when i'm going down the road doing 30 -40 ish, if i hit a bump, the car feels like it wobbles side to side, my cossy before this was rear wheel drive and never wobbled. Would this bet yet another problem with my car or do they do this anyway?

Where can i get one mate, FAST, ASAP?

Lol, Nice of you share the same symptoms as me when the TPS is unplugged, does this mean that my TPS is ok, If yours is doing the same when unplugged....NOTHING.

Why is everyone slating the HICAS, surely 4 Wheel Steering is a plus, isnt it guys??
