When can i pick it up, or can u send it if i pay postage?

Anyone got a spare PTU i can 'borrow', so i can swap over with mine and see if mines gone belly up. A few notes: - Idles for 3 Secs Then Stalls, Whatever the Temperature. - Heavy tapping on right hand bank. - Will rev up to full range (so i know its not in safety mode) - New Plugs and cleaned all Injector Connectors and Coil Pack Connectors. I merely want to illiminate the PTU as the cause, if anyone can lend me one i would appreciate big time. Thanks to Cos and Phsyco for the help. Superb

No mate, i'm after someone to come on over so i can do a few swaps of components to test, even offered to pay £50 or for fuel, no takers yet though! :cry: BTW, it does whether hot or cold, makes absolutely no difference.

Ok no worries mate. Yeah it cranks up instant, then dies after about 5-8 seconds, but initial crank up is starting to become difficult.

good point actually Mike, will try that in a min, but would that cause misfires and stalling on idle?

Nah mate, Swapped over coil packs to opposite banks, Hoses Checked too!

Did that mate, £40 on new Spark Plugs, Cleaned up Injector connectors too, no difference, my car does it when its hot or cold, makes no difference.

Need someone willing to dive over to Chesterfield and take a look at my car, maybe do a few test swaps of components, comparisons etc... But the damn thing is knocking too now, and it still misfires badly when i rev it, the idle is just as bad when its warm! Ta for the input though, any other suggestions?

I still have the same problem, start the engine from cold, ticks over fast at 1-2000 rpm, then as it warms, slows down......then fooking splutters and coughs to a stall. My heater matrix blew recently, so i have overidden the the matrix heater pipes by joining the two pipes up on the engine bay side, no the the matrix inlet pipes, i've join the ones on the engine. Have i missed something? Another funny thing is happening, you know it has 3 inlet manifolds eigther side right, well the left hand side manifolds get very hot very quickly, whereas the right hand ones stay cold, and i mean cold, is this normal? I'm guessing not. Is these problems all related, seem to have started at the same time, i've checked the temp sensor, was corroded, but cleaned it and wiggled it whilst engine running, no change. Help, i know im a winging fook, but i'm at a loss here

TPS? Whats that and where is it? How do i check if it has packed up? Presumably i unplug it with the engine running? Any pointers.

No luck, tried the water temp sensor cable and connector, cleaned it up too cuz it was badly corroded, no change. Took battery of to reset ECU for 1 hour, no change, a little worse in fact. The car isnt smoking at all either. But i did find this, around the back of the engine, what this connector go to:

ok will try that. What should i use to clean up the connectors? I heard WD40!

Is there a manual of any kind like Haynes do for other cars. I ordered a Haynes manual for the 300ZX from america, but i think its a mark one, looks nothing like my car!
