Hi Bit of an update and plea for help or ideas, in my previous threads I stated I needed windscreen changed and had concerns over A Pillar trims, well auto glass came to do screen and on removal found the Pillar trims to have just been stuck with resin from screen bonding no Retainer or clips. New screen fitted my intention was to replace retainer trim and clips with new , after email Luke at Z centre I have been informed Retainer normally fitted under screen and the bonded in which now leaves me a gap where trim should be fitted. Any ideas on how to cover this without having to have screen removed again and I don't won't to buy new retainers and trims etc if I have to incur cost of getting screen taken out again to fit. As I said any ideas for either a retro fit of trims or another solution but keeping standard look. Grateful for any ideas / Comments / Suggestions. Simon

Hi Thanks to all for replies on my windscreen thread, just a quick question regarding same, do the pillar trims form any part of the seal to glass or just cosmetic ? was wondering if anything happens to them or clips will screen still be sealed and car useable without them. Simon

Hi Anyone had their windscreen changed by insurance company using autoglass or someone like that. did it go ok no trims broken etc. Mine has developed a large crack running down it passenger side about half way in 7 inch long at moment so need it done already spoke to Autoglass but they had not got a clue about car not on Database. Just wondered if it was straightforward job for them, or any advice hints. No horror stories if possible Thanks Simon

Has anyone got a drivers side indicator complete with bulb holder mine has stopped working changed bulb but no good, had this problem a few years ago and and changed whole unit which has worked for about five years has now gone again, is this a common problem or could there be something else i may need to check, all other lights and indicators are working, need it sorted urgent as it is my daily drive to work etc. Any advice welcome either on here or email as check that more often. Can anyone give me any info on where to get paint from, i am after Pearl White the code on car is QN0 i had some made but it has come out more silver (platinum white) i can seem to get any to match. i only want to do some touching up and even if it is not an exact match but whiter than the paint i have it will cut in. any help greatly appreciated simon

Hi Does anyone know the best place to get targa / door rubber seals, need a non leaking set both sides, new prices seem very expensive,any info or advice welcome. Also there seems to be a few Zeds recently in Fareham Hampshire are they becoming common ?

Hi Just read thread about gearbox oil which recommended MT90 which grade and how much is needed for complete change, also to the guys who replied on my scuttle trim thread can email with prices would be appreciated. Simon

Hi Does anyone have any scuttle trims, i need a black passenger side one as mine has been damaged when the Battery was replaced, would ideally like new fixing clips as well, would take complete set both sides at the right price, any help appreciated. Thanks for your help guys,Jeff tt and all the Rac came out i had intention of getting her towed to garage but the guy has started her said is was flooded and had probably got a bit of condensation in as a result of heavy rain but she fired up he revved her hard and loud burnt all excess off and she is running fine at moment. so thanks all Simon

Jeff Thanks for reply do you happen to know of anyone with the diagnostics and knowledge to help out with my car im in Fareham Hampshire, the only other thing i have noticed is when trying to start it the cat over temp warning light comes on but does not stay lit never seen it before so not sure if it is of any relevance to problem, i need someone to check car over to point me in the right direction before paying out for parts or recovery to a garage. As i said in last post checked fuses charged battery it did very briefly fire up for about 10 seconds then died again. Simon

Hi All Does anyone know of a good mobile auto electrician near fareham, my Zed wont start only stopped after all the heavy rain last saturday, checked fuses give battery a charge but still she wont go, so i now need to get someone who can check her over find problem. Any help would be appreciated i know its holidays and all. Simon

Hi Can anyone help or got any ideas what will work best firstly do the windscreen trim strips [vertical ones] just pull off or do you need trim tool to release them and secondly what paint would be best to use to cover up where the black plastic coating has come off, or any other ideas to Re-Furb them. Hi Can anyone give me some some advice on where to get a starter motor from local to fareham hampshire,also how easy is it to change as i have only got a driveway to do it on ie: i have read it needs tobe done from underneath jacked up etc, first start it is making an overthrow noise like you get if you hit ignition when engine is running then its ok then you leave car does it again happening more frequently now so need to get it done ASAP preferably in morning sunday if not raining so its ready for work. Hi Can anyone help i have what appears to be a hose leaking petrol it is the small one on the left hand side on top of engine as you look towards rear about 3 inches long under the rest of what i think is called fuel rail, however it is not constantly leaking giving me reason to think it may not be the hose it has been fine all weekend until five mins agao when i went to shop and is soaked in petrol. Any ideas would be welcome i will be changing the hose when i can get it off [ wish they would make cars easy to work on] Simon

Hi All can anyone answer this i have heard most Z`s when converted from KPH to MPH are unrestricted / Delimited during this process, so how do i know if mine is didnt want to push it to hard as i here the limiter when you hit it is a bit violent to the engine and dont want to break it. cheers Simon
