  1. Typing clearly hasn't improved 🤦🏻‍♂️, nice TO be remembered LOL!
  2. Thanks everyone, nice time be remembered! 😁
  3. I went to see it in the Cambridge area, I believe someone bought it but I thought it was stripped for parts and scrapped - hopefully not 🤞🏻
  4. Hi everyone, I was a member on here many years ago, was known for my detailing and valeting back then, and am trying to locate my favourite old Z (I've had five so far). It was a green slicktop NA manual, registration number N434 OGC. I foolishly passed up on the opportunity to buy it back, albeit in a very sorry state, a few years ago and I was led to believe it was broken up for parts not long after. However, I was just doing some nostalgic DVLA checks, as you do, and it looks like it's been back on the road since then, and the last MOT only expired in September this year. Does anyone on here own her, or know the owner? I would love to see the Z again 😁 Cheers all, Peach
  5. I just lurk around in the background
  6. Wow, talk about blast from the past! Still chat to Chunk, Dave and TPot on Facebook from time to time, Rich is now married and he’s all about the drift scene these days even after losing BOTH of his legs to two separate road accidents. Dave appears to be an extreme cross-country running fanatic, and Martin is a family man (much like myself). Nice to see such memories, I missed out on that day due to work, I miss the old days :)
  7. Looking good mate! My detailing days are few and far between now - too many kids!! When I finally get round to sorting out my garaged Z, a good detailing session is definitely on the cards - and to be honest I can't wait! :) Got my bright white Legacy B4 to sort out soon too - white paint = sunglasses on
  8. Just seen this! Thanks guys :) It was my 40th too, we had a great party on the Friday night - and I literally woke up on the Saturday night LOL!!
  9. If I'mnot on holiday (that's our normal week to go away) I will pop along and say Hi as I'm only down the road :) That hotel and restaurant are excellent - we live 10 minutes from there and go there regularly :pint:
  10. You're the second person to ask why I didn't take pictures! I'm obviously out of practice :P There will be a full multi-stage detail, including a bit of wet sanding, in the spring. With lots of pictures :D
  11. Got the new Z out of storage for a good wash/dry/polish, and then back into storage and SORN'd till spring. Felt good to valet a Z again, it's been a while :)
  12. I've had 2x lwb auto TT's, and 2x swb manual NA's, and now a lwb auto NA - the manual NA is definitely my favourite so far. I've only got an auto this time because everything else about the car was so right, and I certainly don't mind an auto, but it may get converted one day. I found the TT to be a lot of hassle - warming up/cooling down etc. - whereas I can just jump in the NA and go. Sure, it's a bit slower but it's still a Z, and that's what give you the feels when you're driving it. Don't get me wrong, my dream car is a manual TT slicktop, but that won't be happening anytime soon LOL :)
  13. Congrats! And happy birthday young man :)
  14. Hi fellas, Thanks for the welcome back. As always, FunkySi is right :D I did do my fair share of detailing in the past but rarely find the time to indulge these days (I now have four - yes four - very time consuming daughters that come first. I had none when I had my first two Zeds!) - hopefully the new toy will rekindle that old passion. This is Z no.5 for me, with my past loves as follows: No.1 No.2 (the best!!) No.3 No.4 And now, no.5 And my current daily, which I love and will find very difficult to part with :( Now I look at it, I've had some lovely cars LOL!! Roll on next summer
  15. Thanks Gaz - can't wait to get detailing in the spring
  16. I had a slicktop in this colour 'back in the day', so it brought back good memories :)
  17. Wonky stainless cat-back and intake of some sort (not investigated yet!), but otherwise stock.
  18. Well, I wasn't actually in the market for another toy, but I was drawn to this Z because of the colour. It wasn't too far away, seemed reasonably priced and it turned out to be not too shabby - so now it's mine! I have no time or budget for it at the moment, and my current car is perfect for the winter (Subaru Legacy B4) so the new Z has been tucked up in a friends garage for the winter. No doubt I'll be back on here again in due course - naturally there are a few little jobs to be done, so I'll see y'all soon
  19. Steve, what was the brand and name of the wax you used? Maybe it was a wax designed for machine use only? (purely speculating, obviously). I'll see what I can find out for you.
  20. Top stuff!! I did indeed use it on yours Nick, followed by a wax layer. Chem Guys have a great range, they are proper enthusiasts, I'd recommend any of their products
  21. I dunno, one little detailing job and a couple of posts on the forum and I feel like I've come home LOL!! It's certainly nice to be remembered guys, thanks for that :) Well, I have been rather busy since last owning a Z - I now have four (yes, 4!) beautiful daughters aged 7, 4, 4 (twins, obviously) and 2. They are my whole life, love them to bits :- But I have been faithful to the JDM scene and, apart from the now necessary 7 seater MumBus, I am currently trundling about in a sweet '00 Subaru Legacy B4, hope you like :- I feel like I'm gonna keep my eye on this place a little more nowadays, it is still the best forum I've ever been a part of (Legacy forum is DEAD!) and, even though I am not in any sort of position to own a Z any time soon, you never know what's around the next corner ;)
  22. Anytime buddy, enjoyed doing it (and driving it!). Gutted I can't come to the Cov day but may try to get to a show or two later in the year, to see if I still recognise any of you Z folk LOL :)
  23. Just seen this - thanks guys!! Nice to be remembered :) Had a great birthday, and finished off with a night out on Saturday (still feeling rough from it LOL!) Cheerz
  24. Thanks guys!! Got loads of detailing stuff as you'd expect, and a little compressor so I can start painting stuff :)
