  1. Matt - am very happy to hear that you are liking the car. It has really killed me to sell it but needs must. Am so glad that it has gone to someone who will really enjoy it and sort out the bits that I couldn't. Glad the boost gauge is working again! I will keep checking on here for any new pics you post. Happy zeding mate
  2. Last year i had a small accident in the Z, i have replaced the bumper, o/s wing and headlights, but it looks like it has done a bit more damage and probably needs the bit that the headlights are mounted on replacing, or just straightening maybe. trouble is, dont really have the money to get it looked at and cant really afford to keep the car if its not being used. if i sell it as it is, i wont get anything for it and if i get it fixed and then sell it i still may not get a lot for it either. thought about breaking it up and selling parts, but i dont have anywhere to keep the car if i did that. any thoughts from the guys and gals on here would be greatly appreciated thanks
  3. Thank you both very much, thats a great help 300_zedx - you have PM
  4. Had a knock in the car a few weeks ago, hit a barrier head on and damaged the front end. Have replaced the front bumper and headlights and centre panel but now it looks like the accident has pushed the passenger side headlight downwards so now there is a big gap between the bumper and headlight. I wanted to know if you can get a new bit that the headlights mount on, not sure if its all connected to the slam panel or not or even how it joins to the rest of the car (i am hoping that it bolts on). Does anyone know if i can replace this piece or do i have to have the original bit pulled out and lined up?
  5. i am going to run a ECU diagnostic to see if the MAF shows up any errors How do i check for boost leaks?
  6. been doing some searching on here Where is the MAF located? is it on the air filter (i have an aftermarket cone filter) could that be causing the erratic tick over?
  7. Had a knock in the car a few weeks ago, hit a barrier head on and damaged the front end. Have replaced the front bumper and headlights and centre panel this weekend but now it looks like the accident has pushed the passenger side headlight downwards so now there is a big gap between the bumper and headlight. I wanted to know if you can get a new bit that the headlights mount on, not sure if its all connected to the slam panel or not or even how it joins to the rest of the car (i am hoping that it bolts on). Does anyone know if i can replace this piece or do i have to have the original bit pulled out and lined up? Also since the accident the car does not run properly, very erratic on tick over, does anyone have any ideas? Is there anyone who lives near SE2 (Abbey Wood, London) who has a ConZult? thanks ross
  8. i have SKY for tv and talk talk for phone and free broadband, no problems at all
  9. alanz - the plate you show in the pic is the same one i have, but the o-ring seals are not in the right place to make a tight seal, hence why the oil leaks out. hopefully the greddy plate will fit better
  10. thanks very much, i have had exactly the same problem, just ordered that greddy sandwich plate
  11. my mate has got the megane F1 230 and it is a really nice motor
  12. according to an article in the evening standard this evening the new car tax bands WILL NOT apply to vehicles registered before 2001 i apologise for confusing everybody, but that sky article definitely sounded like it was going to affect all cars once again, sorry about that! it looks we pay 195 quid or whatever it is
  13. I hate this government, they are now saying the new car tax bands are going to include all cars not just those registered after 2001! what a nightmare http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30400-1314541,00.html
  14. you should definitely shop around for the insurance, my jap import has never been a problem to insure over a UK ZX
  15. what do they do? is it something to do with the tracking? My HICAS light also comes on when i am on the motorway. After about 10-15 mins of motorway driving normally. All other times it stays off.

  19. i had an RD50, was pretty similar to the fizzy. had a 65cc big bore kit, micron exhaust, cone air filter and bigger jets in the carb. i loved it!
  20. well i hope that replacing the PCV valves and hoses and a new set of spark plugs will fix everything!
  21. yeah so do i. i was as surprised as you when it started draining out and completely filling up the oil catch can!
  22. thanks very much for the responses, i will let you know how i get on. am pleased to see that you dont think it is the turbo seals
  23. Think my Z is broken :( When i changed the oil and filter there was 6 litres of oil in the car! replaced with correct amount but car is still producing lots of white smoke and is also misfiring. Does this sound like turbo seals? there is also oil leaking out of the exhaust, somewhere in the middle underneath the car. and there looks like oil on one of the turbos when you look from underneath the car Is there anyone in the london area that would be able to carry out the work for me?
