cornwall meet april 2009
I'm going to have to drop out of this one now, sorry chaps. Money will be too tight for this one after my £1,000 and something bill, and now the wonderful alarm has locked me out of the car with the windows down for the last day. Which is going to be another expensive bill lol. Will be at the cinema meet though. :)

Car Alarm Recomendations
I have a clifford concept 600. Quite old now. I hate it. It's so complicated - It has too many features! But I'd recommend one. I can't get into my own car with it, a thief has no chance haha.

More clutch problems, horray!
Thank Jesus for that. It's got a hoofing great bolt in it and some good old insulation tape over it until I can get to a bit of silicone. Cheers Dan!

More clutch problems, horray!
Alright, I'm just going to be very cautious now, I don't wanna break the car as I've just got it on the road for the first day since buying it. So can I just double check now? lol in regards to this pic (edk83 posted this in '07 - sorry for stealing it!) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=30902&d=1172183229 Which pipe should I be blocking off? I've currently blocked the pipe labeld 3, just before it joins 2. Is that right? I know nothing about this sort of stuff. Sorry I am a pain. :D

More clutch problems, horray!
Sorted that. Has cured the idle problem but the clutch was still hissing a bit. Will see what happens when I take her for a drive later!

Pistonheads
Nooo, don't have to be signed up unless you're selling. Sold my old Skyline on there no problems. Better than eBay imo.

More clutch problems, horray!
Thanks for your quick responses chaps. I'm rarely stuck in traffic - good old Cornish back roads to and from work. I'll give it a try later on this afternoon and see what happens then! Thanks again for the quick responses!

I was offered a TVR for my Zed Today LOL
Are they really that rubbish? I nearly bought one instead of my old R33 Skyline but didn't after hearing some stories lol.

More clutch problems, horray!
I promise to subscribe on pay day, I think I owe it to the club now I keep asking questions. Right, I finally have my car back after 5 weeks of waiting and a nice bill of over £1,000 in total. But I still have problems. I have had the clutch master and slave cylinders replaced, and the line between them both. Now what I have is a strange hissing noise coming from the clutch when it's not in use, but when it's pressed down, the noise goes away. And the car is idling funny, sometimes cuts out. After a brief search, I've gathered it could be the clutch booster system. And there is a way to resolve this by removing the vac pipe and blocking it? Is this safe to do and use the car? I don't think my bank balance can take much more lol. Cheers, again.

Best way to clean up the engine bay?
Cheers for all your suggestions! I went to Halfrauds and the only thing they had in stock was an Auto Glym engine cleaner. Although, now my car is in a garage ALL weekend having the brake pipes done for the MOT. Hurrah.

Best way to clean up the engine bay?
Thanks to the DVLA and they're slow ass service of getting a replacement log book to me due to useless previous owner, my zed will still be off the road for another week or so. So this weekend I plan on giving it a good old clean as the previous owner had it stood for 2 years, and the paint is looking rather faded etc. I can do all of that fine, but the engine bay is manky, very very manky. Basically, you can't see the engine lol. What's the best way to clear all of the grime and crap from the engine? I don't want to take the risk of jet washing it or steam cleaning it, don't trust old electrics much! What would you chaps and chapesses recommend? Cheers.

cornwall meet.
I know it's not really Plymouth, and it's an American themed place, but I've heard a lot of good things about Route 38 by the Shell garage at Saltash! May be worth a shot. :)

Epic fail....Enzo Z
That's.. errrr... different! Fair play to the amount of work, but why!?

Bloody clutch - Grr
Cheers everyone for the replies. All sorted now. The pipe that went from the master to the slave was slightly kinked and was causing an air block. The garage made a new pipe and it's now on it's way for an MOT. Fingers crossed for that as well! Cheers for all of your help!

Ideal, cheers for the reply! If no luck I'll forward thaty on to them too! I have no idea if thats happend! I'll hunt through the mountain of receipts when I get to the car again and have a nose! That's a very kind thing to offer! If they have no joy after the master cylinder is refitted tomorrow I will get them to give you a call if you really don't mind?
