  4. It was cold, a marquee heater would improve this The ring in the roof of the marquee was missing something, a mirror ball would improve this The fridge wasnt big enough, a bigger fridge would improve this
  5. Yeah, been thinking of seling slicktop for a couple of weeks now. Kept changing my mind all weekend, spend some money on it or sell it
  6. Hey, was good to meet you Thread title amused me....... " hi, i'm Emma, posted by george". I expected it to say something like, " but only at the weekends"
  7. Ah forgot one. If having a " best mod" category, how about having forms for everyone to describe the best mod on their car, then everyone votes on these Best mod and worst mod should vote for the mod not the car
  8. Couple of suggestions for next year....... I'm not too keen on the " most origonal" ( even though i won it 3 times :) ) to me " best origonal " would be better. This would involve setting some rules and a point system, ie changed wheels = 2 points, changed exaust = 1 point, fugly body kit = 20 points. Then cars with 5 points or less are considered " origonal" and people can vote for the bet of these Runner up voting...... Consider, everyone votes for car A except one person who votes for their own car. Another car ( B ) is in everyones opinion nearly as good as car A. The person who voted for their own car would get the runner up prize despite car B deserving it. What about having a best and second best box for every category on the voting sheets? And finally an award for best vert ( including runner up trophy). ;)
  9. I'm having the same dilema. Not enough time to drive 3 cars. I tend to either drive the vert or the defender, so do i get rid of the slicktop. I prefer the drive of the vert to the slicktop, but enjoy taking the slicktop on the track, but havnt managed to in the last year. When going to europe i tend to take the vert as the clearance is easier on the ferry ramps. The slicktop strugles to get over the speedramps at work, but i still like it and a spare zed is always usefull ( see how many didnt get to jae)

I'm hoping to make it, but it will depend how i feel on the day, how bad work was on saturday, and if i even wake up. Will there be enough stand passes if i do?
  11. i'm fairly sure , last time that car was at JAE it won an award for the same mod, can't remember if it was "best " or "worst"
  12. Get the aa to recover it to jae, that gives us all 3 days to fix it so you can go home. Otherwise i might have a chance of the best vert award :p
  13. Do 2 other wires go somewhere else?
  14. Or if you dont want to go very fast just fit a 120 mph dial to the clocks
  15. It,s not spliced into the connector on the right of the photo is it? Loks like inverter for ligt up sills spliced into door lamp relay
  16. 16 years working in a student union nightclub
  17. in the adress in the link change forum to forums, then it will open and yes those screws
  18. yes, the manual tt is also different to the auto tt
  19. From memory, without looking at the circuit diagram, 10a fuse top row 3 rd fuse drivers fotwell fuse box. Splits to do many things, main one is to make the full beam / dipped beam headlight relay switch to dipped beam, without this power it defaults to main, thus allowing you to flash without headlights on first. It also feeds the side lights, rear lights, interior lights etc, its also conected to the timer unit . Obviouslt to be able to do this it goes via the pods, both main beam stalk and lights on switch, so check these are plugged in properly. Most common fault is fuse ( so check it again to be sure) then pod plugs, also seen faulty main beam switch ( possibly not this, cant remember where wires split) also seen bodged led side light conversion melt the wires at the side ligts, short to chasis, then melt wiring loom at back of switch pod
  20. I dont have cruise either :(
  21. Also have the vert sales brochure i could scan in
  22. Seem to remember on zeds with heated mirrors, this worked off rear window switch as well, so makes sense The 1996 service manual includes lots of stuff on the convertible Cant remember where i downloaded it from, but i found it out there somewhere I could email to you
