  5. Unless anyone has done an earthing mod for hid lights, then the earth wire from both dipped lights and from both full beam go to a change over relay in the big engine bay fuse box.
  6. i was wondering why the horn relay was involved in the circuit
  7. I asume you know it only works between certain speeds, for the import this was a higher bottom threshold than the uk. Cant remember the exact speed as not got cruise on mine, but something like 50 mph Is the broken plastic to do with taking it out of park without the engine on ? Would the ascd park/neutral inhibitor switch not be near the auto shift? Or is it on the gearbox?
  8. The screw on the front adjusts the light beam, if you undid it to far you might have to reasemble the spring inside There are 3 nuts on the back of the fog to remove it
  9. I may be wrong, but as i understand it, spirited driving, especially with the stock brakes gets the brake fluid very hot. Boiled brake fluid is no use for stopping a car, brake fluid that has previously got very hot is less use than fresh
  10. I had r33 discs and standard calipers on a bracket. It was rubish Changed to r33 discs and calipers, so much better I do think a lot of the faults with zed stock brakes can be fixed with a change of fluid and freeing up all the mooving parts. My vert stock brakes were so much better when i got it than either of my zeds with r33 discs and stock calipers, but has faded over the years ive had it
  11. Is it this one? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?98571-My-vert-in-its-element-the-sun&highlight= http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?168242-300ZX-Rag-Top-Convertible-1-of-3-genuine-convertibles-in-UK If it is then search for other posts by the 2 previous owners should give you more info about it

  13. I'm in Guildford, so not too far away, and I have a 300zx convertible. would be happy to meet up and compare them. i'm busy with work for the next 7 days, but from then i'm fairly free - - - Updated - - - oh and which vert did you buy? black, blue, silver or red?
  14. Yes, a small fan drawing cabin air over the temp sensor for the climate control Sometimes cleaning them will make it quiet for awhile
  15. Works been stupidly busy, been playing with the landrover when i do get a day off Still got 2 zeds, need to get them to a meet :)
  16. I would like to do another club track day Not been able to get to japfest for last 3 years due to work
  17. Some petrol stations are not manned in the evening or at weekends. And lots are pay at pump only. So you may need a credit card or debit card that is accepted in europe . You put your card in, select which pump and how much you want to spend, then fill up at the pump Motorway services will probably be okay for euros
  18. Asuming you need to go through france. High viz jackets for each ocupant where they can put them on before exiting the vehicle. Some countries in europe require 2 triangles Mot, insurance, v5 , if its not your vehicle a letter from the owner giving permision Euros for those on the spot fines Credit card for fuel
  19. It's ok, I think you live far enough away that it's safe to say

  22. I've got an idea ( it's not a serious idea) we could vote like on X factor.... The members vote for who they would like reinstated from a list of banned members. It's then anounced who ( in no particular order ) are the most popular ex members, The committee then vote who to save and who to throw back in the banned bin On a more serious note, great idea committee
  23. I cant remember which colour is which. But the N/A and TT cogs are different sizes. Fairly sure the NA cog was smaller and didnt touch when fitted in a TT gearbox.
  24. I've got one of those alarms. You cant adjust the time before it auto imobaluzes. However if you turn the key to the ignition position then press the button , it should switch off the imobaluser rather than lock the car
