  1. also how much should i be looking at spending and what brands?
  2. Hi everyone, im just about to buy some spacers for my stock zed but what do you recommend? 25mm on back and 15mm on front? or same all round? the stock alloys REALLY dont fill the arches so it needs to be at least 15mm i reckon. what do you guys have on yours? thanks in advance, henry
  3. yeh sounds about right! yeh im at university in manchester so its a big treck that i have to do every now and again. costs me £65 in petrol aswel! ouch.
  4. could have been me as i was heading up to manchester in my black tt zed but i have a terrible memory!
  5. that is incredible. by far one of the nicest 300zx's ive ever EVER seen. i REALLY hope to be seeing this around portsmouth in the summer. congrats mate.
  6. couldnt be more dodgy if it tried. only worth bidding if u can talk to him first
  7. have to agree with smithy here, i dont hold out much hope for a cheaper price but you never no! im actually at university at manchester, and live down in portsmouth so i switch between the two! thanks guys
  8. tooley, i cant seem to find his number on the web... is blackwells a garage in manchester? any contact details? thanks a lot mate
  9. it has had a bypass according to zedworld if this helps?
  10. thanks a lot guys, YTS Weazel i have sent you an email. Zedworld detected where the boost leak was using a compressor but it was under the plenum which involved the whole loom to come off etc hence the £300, plus i would have to buy at least one new gasket if its leaking (i think!). paulbrem, that would be great thanks, not 100% sure where the leak is coming from though, its in the centre of the engine bay. It originally had 4 leaks, but jeff fixed the easy ones on the outer pipes.
  11. Hi everyone, long story short, went to zedworld today for a check up. found some good things and some bad. i have a boost leak which involves taking of the engine loom and looking into the gaskets (£300) job from zedworld. but i found out my ECU is chipped to 400bhp and my exhaust system is worth a lot of moneyso could be worse (and i got a free sandwich!), i just cant access that power with this damn boost leak! so basically if anyone is near manchester with some mechanical knowledge that reckons they could have a go at it, id pay you! any takers? as you can tell, i do not know much but i am learning! cheers
  12. who the hell is bidding on this! im sorry but that is horrible. nothing more to it.
  13. im 21 with 1 years no claims, paying £1100. OUCH! anyone reckon i can get it cheaper on classic car policy?
  14. i have the stock alloys on at the moment and i want them to fit the arches neatly. im thinking about 15-20mm. thanks for the advice!
  15. hi everyone, just about to buy some spacers to fill my arches a bit better. crappy halfords only have 9.5mm spacers. this doesnt sound like much!? what would you recommend... cheers
  16. Booked her in for the all-round check they do for £30 ish quid. Anyone done one of these before? are they any help? and can you look around the car with them? i would love to learn as much as possible! Seeing as though i just bought my zed i thought i might aswel get some piece of mind... cheers guys
  17. ive got the jap spec gauge so its -7 +7, so how does this translate into PSI? it doesnt quite make it to +7 with my foot down...
  18. Thanks Pablito, do you think there is any harm in it running in safety boost mode? there doesnt seem to be any other problems with the car.
  19. Hi everyone, ive only been out for a couple of drives in my new 300zx and it is incredible. I love it! However, the boost gauge goes from -7 to +7 but when i put my foot down it doesnt go above about +5? when its idling it is at -7 which i no is normal, but i no there has been a lot of chat on here about safety boost and im guessing thats what it is. So long story short, how do i get the safety off! thank you all in advance, from the knightrider zed.
  20. copied and pasted to the help and advice area!

  22. it just makes me laugh how Ed does ALL the work and gets very little credit for it. cracks me up.
  23. definitely up for that! i could think of nothing better than a blast along southsea seafront, especially in the summer. theres also that place on the corner opposite the amusement arcades on the seafront where all the boy racers congregate. would love to show them what a car with 4x the bhp of a saxo can do! let me know when!
  24. Thankyou. Not 100% sure if i will be able to make it to the rolling road day as its bang in the middle of exams i have in manchester! But i definitely want to come to a meet in the summer. My first mod will be some nice alloys so im on the hunt as of now! Then as you have all been saying, subtly is key so im thinking a nice front splitter and a jap spec rear bumper.
