Engine starts......engine stops......Help!
The fuel pump does not make any noises. There is voltage getting to the pump plug which is strange.

Engine starts......engine stops......Help!
I have had the car off the road since Febuary. Just started her up and the engine ran for about 20 seconds and then slowly stopped. Trying to restart, sounds like it wants to start but won't. Since it's been off the road i have changed the plugs, cam belt, water pump, radiator, oil, fuel filter, oil filter, removed hicas and A/C and fited underdrive pulleys and new belts. My gut feeling is that it is not electrical, and that there is no fuel getting to the engine. Does any one know how to check the pump is working? I disconnected the filter and there was a bit of fuel in it. Turning the engine over with the fillter off, no fuel pumped out - should it?:(

Bit of a strange one I admit, but does anybody know if the Steering shaft from the wheel is hollow or solid? I want to fit a quick release boss. Thanks

Service kits
It was an upgrade option from Z1 $132 on top of the standard belt.

Service kits
Just fitted this kit last week - I went for the kevlar timing belt upgrade. It has marks painted on it so fitting the belt and lining up the pulleys corectly is very easy! Also fitted the full AMS pulley kit.

rear roll cage
Contact custom cages. Thay have not done a 300zx before but say that it would be no problem. I want a 4 point rear bar in a few months and will drop the Zed off for a week. They can build any cage in there range and prices are not bad too.

Which intercooler?
Current are standard, but i want to upgrade. front mounted look good but will stop air flow to the radiator, larger side mounted will need a new bumper and there is no where for the hot air to flow to behind the intercooler. So my question is this, which gives the best performance increase? I'm thinking that the larger intercooler to a point, will also reduce in airflow efficency and may reduce performance....

Which intercooler?
Front or side mounted?

the vibration starts at about 40mph and is notible past 60, NSF wheel is not damaged and the vibration does not come through the steering wheel. Feels middle to back end is the souce. Think the gearbox mount is gone as well as there is vibration in low revs depending on how you drive. Also, HICAS light randomly comes on when the engine is warm. if you turn the engine off and then back on, it stays off - for a bit!

Hi, thanks, i did notice this before i went to see it - gives me an excuse to buy a new front end! Intercoolers are blocked of from any air as the ducts are still fitted - makes me think that the last owner was more bothered about the looks than performance.
