  1. LOL !! Blantyre ?? 20 years ago ?? It means a fanny, quim or whatever you care to call it over there. Its developed into a kinda thing for your mates, or for folk you guise with. I can see where you were coming from. Langauge barrier North of the Wall !:) I stay just 7 miles from there actually. Most old yanks dont handle that well, but that one is like driving a chest of drawers strapped to a jet engine !! No offence intended mate, and we are hijacking this thread ! :x: Alan........
  2. Sorry Vic, Dont speak no Portugese, just Scottish ! Yout Zed is a belter mate !!:bow: Welcome ! ALAN..............
  3. Mate, its really built for straight line action, obviously. It aint a sports car, more of a 1/4 miler. Still drove up the A1 no bother with the rest of us that Sunday. Its not the sort of thing you pop down to Tescos with, and most older Yanks like that are great in a straight line. Corners ?? Hmm, as long as they aint too sharp !:) But thats to do with the car. Imagine that set up in a Zed ?? As for the Fud bit, it means up here in Glasgow, youre one of the lads !! Alan......
  4. Jaf, Havent commented as I am pretty sure you will have heard it all before. I actually feel down and angry reading through your posts connected with this carry on. !:( I honestly dont know who you were dealing with, and can also understand why you havent went the name`n`shame route, full respect for your cool head. I would probably have blown a gasket myself by now. Have a wee time out mate, clear your thoughts and decide then. Whatever you decide to go with, I am sure it will be unique !;) As a side thought, while everybody is stuffing a Yank V8 in a Zed, why not stuff a Jap in a Yank ?? Think of the Mustang in one of the F&F films ? OK, I have been consuming alcohol, I will get my coat !;) Good luck mate, Alan......
  5. Yeah, its got a steering wheel and everything ya Fud !! :headvswal Alan....

  8. No mate, he asked us, "What to do"? OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS ? You decide ? Alan
  9. Forget all the suggestions Jaf ! Dont get sod all. Have a nice holiday somewhere, chill for a while. Say maybe three months ? Have a lurk around other websites, Jap, Yank etc. Somethin will catch your eye and Bang, you will be away !! You have been through a load of shite with the present Zed, and you need time to clear your head. My bets are, you will return with some sort of Zed ? Good luck with your choice, and remember if you need a shot in a 1600 bhp, twin turbo 30 year old yank, I am only a few hundred miles up the road and can arrange it ! ;) Alan........................
  10. You have made a wise choice mate. Keep it white, and its a pity you aint up here !! Ply lining with insulation, 19mm hard wood floor, 4 lashing rings all for £150. Alan.........

  14. Standard headlights on my Ram are really quite poor, visibility wise. Is there a noticeable difference in using the Xenon HID bulbs ? Are these bulbs any better than original Halogen types ? Alan......
  15. Hey Allan, You ever tried Ovaltine ? Alan.......
  16. Your question is neither lame, nor embarrasing. The stupid questions are the ones we didnt ask ! Guessing that they have been put on with an impact wrench, so they will be very tight. If the special anti-theft key is still intact and not broken yet, try applying force to loosen the lock-nut and while you have the wrench on it, under force, have an accomplice give it a sharp whack with a hammer, directed at the actual nut/key. Take care not to hit the wheel. This normally does the trick. Failing that, a decent 24" breaker bar should shift it. Good luck mate, Alan................
  17. Alan..................
  18. In the mornings, these aptly-shaped shadows all point to the West side of the bridge, which is the side of the Houses of Parliament. Alan..

  22. Dont fret MATE ! If I remember, you helped me out on several occasions with your expertise. You are more sensible than some ! ;) Plus you have a nice Zed. Dont think I have any friends listed either, so we are both a pair of dislikeable *******s ! lol. Alan.....
  23. Had it all in bits today, nothing un-plugged, broken or untowards. Works as it should using a spare monitor, via the cable. New screen time ? Alan.....
  24. What a dummy !:slap: I never even gave that a thought ! When it took the knock it is possible something has came unplugged I suppose ? Good call mate, will remove the screen bezel and have a look see ! Cheers, Alan..............
