As part of my wedding anniversary present from my wife (27 years), last Friday she treated me to a flight down to Manchester, overnight stay at the Raddison and tickets to see Roger Waters, from Pink Floyd perform The Wall ! Seen it the first time around at Earls Court back in 1980 and it is a stunning gig. Apoligies for the poor quality of the pics, but cameras were banned and we did a sneaky without any flash ! According to the onboard readout, average around 16 mpg. 10 mpg if you are playing and the best I have had, on a run in top gear, cruise on, 2,000rpm for every 40mph is 24.something ! Alan..........

It was a gorgeous day today, so took the truck out a wee run down the coast. Passed by the wind farm, so stopped off, gave it a few revs to get them turning ! Passed a silver Zed coming the opposite way out of Kilmarnock, around half 2 ish ? Nice day out. Alan.........

All the details listed are appropriate for scrap metal values as well !! Shame really ! Yet we still spend billions maintaining 4 Vanguard class submarines carrying a weapons platform we have never used and never will use! Is it just so people fear us and the people in charge feel safe. Not exactly realistic defence though is it? I mean when would we ever USE nuclear weapons... the fan would have to turn REALLY brown. Scrapping the Ark Royal/Harrier GR9s and the Nimrod MRA4s, platforms that were vital to the armed forces and have been proven in battle, whilst keeping a Nuclear deterrent, weapons that we have never used and never will use (lets be realistic here ) is just feckin madness . My friend has worked on the periphery of the defence industry, signed the OSA and it's common knowledge that 1 in 3 of the trident physics packages is a dud anyway... ?? Go figure !! Alan.....
