Removed the bottom bracket and as I went to get up, the top bracket popped out the runners !! Door and head met ! Four steel staples in me napper to stop what little brains I have spilling out ! Worse case scenario, you will have to pay your excess, if he contacts you. If your excess is, say for example £250 ? He may call round and say, it is around £200 to fix ? Chancer ?? Give him the cash, get a signed document from him saying the matters settled, job done ! Bet you wont hear anything ? Alan.............

There's a few types of Radiation. Alpha, Beta, Gamma radiation and X-rays. Alpha Radiation consists of very heavy particle and it cannot penetrate the skin. It is harmful if ingested or enters through an open wound so a set of coveralls and a face mask is perfect protection from this type. Alpha Radiation comes from elements like Thorium or Uranium. and is an ejected Helium nucleus. When you see people getting hosed off, this is what they are getting rid of. Beta radiation is a light, short range particle and can penetrate the skin. If material contaminated with Beta Radiation stays on the skin, it can cause long term damage. Also, breathing it in is a very bad thing. Wickes coveralls and a face mask help with this one too. Beta Radiation is an ejected Electron from Strontium or Tritium. This is the sort of stuff that Radioactive Fallout is composed (or irradiated) by. Now, the really nasty stuff. Gamma and X-Rays are Ionizing Radiation. The particles will pass through clothing, skin or whatever at high speed and collide with the atoms inside your body. By doing this, they strip an electron away. Your cells are made from atoms, hence the damage caused. You need to be either far far away or have some suitable lead shielding for protection. Gamma Rays vary in their energy depending on the strength of the Radioactive Source and are produced by elements like Caesium-137 or Cobalt-60. Last of all, there's Neutron Radiation. Neutron radiation is of non-ionizing radiation that consists of free neutrons. These neutrons are emitted during nuclear fission like in the Japanese reactor. Nuclear Radiation does not ionize atoms in the same way that charged particles such as protons and electrons do (exciting an electron), because neutrons have no charge. But, neutrons react with the atomic nuclei of many elements upon collision creating unstable isotopes can induce radioactivity in a previously non-radioactive material. This process is known as neutron activation and that's why the area around Chernobyl is still a no-go area. This is what will be pumping out of the overheating reactor cores causing the high radioactive readings in the immediate vicinity. You can't shield this with lead. What does shield you from neutron Radiation is water, which is why the rods are kept underwater when used and you see choppers trying to drop water on the thing (as well as cooling the core to slow the reaction down) Alan..........
