yea i spose its different for everyone, having said what i have though some days i do sit in it and i'll drive around just for the hell of it so i think im just suffering from automotive asphyxiation.. but im originally a classic car lover and im craving for something old again.. might just get a classic and keep this alongside it i think

Bonjour, iv been driving my Z now for almost a month and i'll be honest, its not doing a great deal for me, i do generally get bored of cars quick if there's no click there, but I did have my FTO for a year and I loved it, don't know why theres no chemistry with the Z though! I'm trying to love it but just can't, seriously thinking about px'ing or selling, in the mood for something classic again possibly a karmann ghia or if I can find one a '77 celica ra28, did any1 else get this when they first brought their Z or was it love at first sight for you all?

Agreed it is slightly out of the box and some parts of the styling do not 100% compliment each other, but top fakin marks for being brave that is one sweet ass rod

ta lads i'll get the rear gear box mount changed and see if it makes a difference, the vibrating is occurring a lot more now and for a prolonged period as well so need to get it sorted asap!

No its not through the steering i can feel the vibrating through the seat, usually happens after started from cold not really at higher speeds though, i guess its one of those trial and error jobs, my guess is the thing i do last will be the main problem!

They'r 5 114, front tyres are 8J - 235 40 18 and rears are 9.5J - 265 35 18 Offset is ET20.. will these fit onto my z?

^ Thats the one, tbh after seeing red/black combo i'm not sure, although viniboys is very nice not exactly what i had in mind, i think the carbon fibre bonnet will do the job and i might just spray the back light panel black

bonjourna, picked up auto express's car yesterday, very happy with the drive its got a solid engine, few bits and bobs need doing to the bodywork which I'm gonna crack on with.. I was thinking though as the car is red, do you reckon the top half would look nice black? i.e. the tailgate, spoiler and windscreen pillars. I love black and red and I think I may have seen this combo on another car and it looked wkd, waddya reckon.. possible carbon fibre bonnet as well to top it all off..

beautiful. i like u richard. in a non-homosexual way. i got nothing against homosexuals though. this always happens wen i join a forum but i've been a member of most of them now for over 4-5 years so once we get past this initial relationship turbulence i hope u'll grow to love me as i hope to love you. im planning on keeping the Zed for a long time and im sure i'll end up meeting some of u, so if u can get past my occassional random posts and now and then abbreviations we will get on smashingly. life is too short. like my ex used to say 'u are useless and have a small penis. go away.'

lol i love testing the type of forum by adding a little controversy, im not a chav n i do despise em, but you alongside the majority of forums im a member of have an 'elite' population who dont like seeing change on forums n thats all it comes down to. its a phsychological thing.. generally older people cling onto the past. its all good. btw my hobby is restoring classic cars so i dont want no 'we take care of our cars not abuse them' rubbish i got bare love for my rides. But back on track i dont think the chav market will ever tap into zeds or if they do not for a looong time so we can all sleep safe.

lol wot da hells a section 59?! im all about power slides and empty car park madness nowadays, street racing is tooo risky nowadays, as long as i can get some drifitng action going it'll be all good! its a non turbo auto but im sure it'll still fly :) oh and also do you reckon i'll keep up with/beat an integra type r?

Right also while I'm here what would you say the difference is between the n/a and tt for economy, I know you all say economys not great on either which is fair enough BUT is there a big difference the turbo and non-turbo in terms of economy? and is the tt a lot faster than the non turbo :) ta -
Alright chaps just a quick one, wanted to get a rough idea of the difference in economy and performance between the auto and manual non-turbo. I've always been told autos drink more so is this the case and if so how much difference is it. And again performance wise as well..

lol cheers lads to be honest I had a dream, it had nothing to do with choosing a car but it was amazing and there were lots of naked women in it. Anyway when I woke up I decided the Z is the one! woohoo! Now all I need to do is find one.. pearl white n/a manual would be smashing :) but like I said before I've checked up and know the stats on both cars are pretty similar give or take, i'm after something though which does turn heads and after having considered that'll be the Z.

Hi peeps very nice forum I like it and hopefully will be on here a lot more, as I've already posted in the Z General Discusson section I was going to see a Mitsy GTO tomorrow but for some strange and bizarre twist in my fate I've stumbled upon the idea of buying a Z instead! woohooo. Still in dilemma but it's veering towards the 300zx so hopefully I'll be able to find a non-turbo manual very soon. Anyway bless to all and heres to many more blessings to come!

I should add for insurance I'm 22 with 4 years ncb and was looking at a quote around £900 from Adrian Flux for a non-turbo GTO and I'd be looking to get a non-turbo 300zx as well...

Chaps and chapettes, hope your all good and read this in the best of health, I might encounter some bias here but I'm in a dilemma, was going to see a GTO tomorrow after having sold my FTO recently when I thought 'why don't I buy a 300zx?!' After having this though my mind has gone into overdrive and I don't know whether to go see the GTO tomorrow for which I had the cash ready! Basically I need to ask this - which is better aesthetically in your opinion -answer with no bias =/ Also I kinda know my stuff about the GTO in terms of economy and insurance, do you think these 2 will be much different with the z? Mucho gracias quick response required to win me over to your side!! Bless
