  3. the reason your drivers door has problems is if your battery aint charged then this will effect the central locking which is situated in the drivers door hence only passenger door will work manually :)
  4. mine does the same have to feed it back myself if theres a fuse i want to know where it is ;)
  5. ive only had the z a couple of months m8 and i get my days when i dont want her,dreading an expensive bill everytime i go out in it.But its worth keeping coz i enjoy driving it.Hang on to it coz if uv just forked out for the gearbox u may as well get plenty of use out of it good luck,besides half of my car is in bits due to a retrim bo**ocks :(
  6. ahh sorry mate ishouid of kept my mouth shut, 1/try this pull back the seal across the window,use a door wedge and directly above handle&lock assembly use a microlite/or a light that gives of a thin ray of light make a tool out of a metal coat hanger long enough to reach the horizontal rod assembly,make a hook at the end of the hanger to bind on the rod,twist and slide the makeshift tool,this shouid then independantly unlock that door use passenger door.Ihope i dont get in trouble for this! 2/through door style,if you can wedge the door open enough reach in for the handle might be difficult without an air wedge but a possability :cool: by the way this doesent work on all cars so dont be tempted to try this on a porsche etc :rofl: most cars haved there own methods of entry
  7. mine are squeling like a pig bit embarrasing pulling up in a sweet car with squely brakes :( got brembo discs and ebc pads and have just started squealing after 2wks of being fitted.any suggestions as we have both got this prob
  8. shame your not in my area as im a locksmith and wouid be able to get in with out the need of keys etc,hope u got in ok though :cool:

  12. fairplay m8 my first car was a escort 1.8d van broke down more times than i can remember but it was a ford able then i had a bmw 316 then a 318i got bored of being a snob then bought a z im only 22 so the insurance hurts :cry: but who cares i love it
  13. going to change the fuel lines regardless,but the smell seams to be from the zorst mainly got a fire extinguisher in the boot maybe i shouid situ it in the cabin just in case is it common for fuel to be running rich from the zorst,and can it be checked easiley,or am i talking shite
  14. ive noticed if ive had a good run,pull up at some lights i can smell a really wiffy fuel smell! is this normal.I know u get it to some extent but it is quite bad,couid it be the z is running to rich or,do i just put up with it, Ive checked the fuel lines there fine,going to get some braided ones a.way!I think the heat that comes of these cars is unbelievable,and probably emphasizes the fuel smell.any of you have this problem :)
  15. YEP ive got sag and it aint the indian variety,but where u have to stretch the material over the rear quarters its bubbled a bit,but sod it better than tweed a.way
  16. i nearly got yet anouther 3points for doing 35 in a 30 but had to pay the £60 fine and do a 3hr course at a safety camera partnership,a load ob boll**ks but better than 3 points :rolleyes:
  17. ive got 3 points! had a bmw 318i e46 and got caught doing 105mph lucky i didnt get banned :xxx: i went and had a bmw detox to get rid of the tosser in me.And then went and bought a zed tt :D havent looked back,its a big increase in power from 120bhp-280bhp and a big increase in insurance :cry: i did get 6points when i was 16 for riding a scrambler down a set of steps with no insurance or liscence :xxx: not that u can ride down 20concrete steps with a licence,insurance
  18. alright mate yeah mine have creases and a couple of bubbles creases makes it look better IMO it was the fookin angles to shape it in to,hairdryer helped soften it up but never again im still high as a kite of the evo-stic :rofl:

Did the armrest peace a pizz do the rear quarters and fook me i couid of took the engine out in quicker time :shock: got rid of the old tweed 1st hassle,then glue streching,glue more stretchin,it isent perfect but looks loads better,scared to do the door cards they look even harder to do any tips.I seen the last thread on this how did u all get on doin the door cards or dident. greg oh sorry to go on any one got a part number for a viscous fan coupling and where to get one from,bet there expensive :cry:
  20. yeh i get smoke on start up,clears after 4-5 min still boosts very well,then had a whining sound which is normally turbos,but turned out to be viscous fan coupling so check the small ones out before jumping to the ones that make u cry with worry greg

  22. ahh u couid be right there mate,perhaps when i got a ticket the other night for having my fogs on,when i didnt purposly have them on,maybe the switch was in the onn position. wouid i have a case about the £30 fine or no
  23. just tried it ,bit off a bodge really,tried the switch its so loosely fitted its hard to determine on/off,as its coming out of the lights unit,wouidnt that point to a lighting device,rather than a fuel cut off etc f**k no~s :confused: i might take the unit apart see what its attached 2
  24. it doesent seem to do a great deal,ive just had a tracker/immobilizer fitted wouid it still work as a cut off switch ;) hang on ill go and try
  25. :confused: this obviously isent on the manufacturers list any ideas to what its fitted for,noticed it checking fuses. greg
