yep its the front o/s sorry should be more clear! think il go for ajustable tension rod arms! but back to this thumping over every bump seems no matter what setting i put the shocks on soft-hard :nelson: [no jokes] it seems the car is all over the place and uncomfortable!is this the front shock or what thanks aswell robin. cheers greg

whilst changing pads&discs i noticed oil leaking from o/s shock :cry: there GAB shocks which came with the car when i bought it would this explain uncomfortable driving EG..if driving down a lumpy road the car thumps over every bump :confused: and isent nice are these symptoms of leaky shock or more bush related! whilst examining the area i noticed the tension rod bushes were coated in a sticky substance is this normal or are they fooked also :o any advice appreciated greg ;) ps..new uprated shocks on order anyway :D got to smile otherwise id sell the z and i dont want to! these cars make me so happy yet so sad at times

if the car is wiffing of petrol and you have been giving a lot of pressure to the pedal then you would have flooded the car 1/check ecu for codes 2/decompress fuel systym check fuel filter,lines etc 3/is there a buzzing noise when you turn the key to on if so then you could possibly rule out fuel pump im not an expert but the smell of fuel then car wont start sounds fuel not going where its meant to :)

dave theres a link in the help and advice posted by hansky under rpm wire there you will find the correct wiring diagram :)

because my rpm wire must have been spliced previously and folllowed my 300zx book along with instructions and its the yellow one!what colour is the wire you have to wire to the rpm

dave i fitted it in 2hrs start to finish!easy use diagram 2 in manual put unit where u want it fitted! i placed mine through vent at top of dash hides wiring behind.Remove harness from ecu read diagram 2 whilst following the pin diagram for wiring to the correct pins yellow=rpm at ecu red=ign live black=ground pink=speedw purple=speedo o im crap with electrics and wiring but chuffed i did it myself and saved a few bob! mesure twice cut once :) il post a link for diagram of ecu pins good luck greg

sorry hansky dont cut it :nelson: its actually the yellow one on mine as iv just fitted my apexi rsm one of the ecu pins has no wire going to it and its the one next to it yellow=rpm wire srry bud greg

its defo the 3rd from the end diagrams showing the wire intertwining with the 3rd and 4th pin :) im doing the same thing at the moment

how many vacuem hoses are there around the engine bay out of interest as i want to bling the bay out :) and are they all 4mm is there any other hoses worth changing that dont contain oil,water,fuel etc...

mate if u can do basic wiring shoudent be hard as i tested it with a ground and a live last night and it looks a nice bit of kit,i just wanted a colour diagram so i can accuratly splice the correct wires :o and as you say so i dont melt the ECU :eek: Il let you know how i get on tommoz :) greg
