  7. good luck mick, not the nicest thing to have to do! sell your pride&joy :( but priorities take there place. anyways take care all :) greg.
  8. if i had a z in front of me i could probably be more acurate with removal procedure with tricky bolt removal make sure you have plenty of tools, nowt worse than not having good tools, the bolt at the back of the turbo inlet pipe your reffering to should be fine with a 1/4" 12mm socket short bar and possibly a uj. have removed it a few times without any problems.
  9. to get as much room as poss remove rubber pipes on that bank to throttle body and pipes from turbo and intercooler, cover up intakes to prevent dropping any foreigners down there ;) remove radiator and front belts and anything else that might be in the way sorted
  10. HERE YOU GO BUD... remove belt by undoing 14mm on front of pump pulley, and slackening off ajuster then as in pic remove the two 14mm bolts marked underneath bracket, then remove 14mm at front and same at back rear one can be an arse, but once pump is off the bracket and carefully laid down so not to stress pipework you will then have enough room to move spanner at more of an angle on mount. greg excuse pic cant open in adobe for some reason so had to use the kids program for art lol
  11. come on! do you really think your going to get a payout on something like that :wack: you ansered it yourself
  12. as long as car is up to temp, and the connector is on cyl 1 iv never had a problem with that type. allan no wonder your car felt strange 12- retarded :smash: :)
  13. and the air con wont be harmed by dropping pump off its bracket, the only sod is the 14mm bolt that passes at the back of the bracket to attach the pump! small 12point spanner will do it
  14. remove engine mount nuts x2 14mm's attached to cross member use engine hoist and lift the engine carfully a couple of inches, it should then give you that bit more room. You need to be careful, but you could also use a jack and a piece of wood and lift it that way if a hoist is not present. or drop the air con pump and you will then have 90o to get at it. Off course engine has to be lifted to some point to remove and refit another mount

  19. I can understand how you must feel marcus, the engine swap should of been turned around in 48hrs, i get on well with pj but its to be said, ended up getting silly. I should imagine jeff would of had the pleasure to make it sound worse and rub every fault on the car just to make paul look a ****, jeff can be like that. And i couldnt give 10 ****s who else has an opinion in his defence Its IMO. Finally glad to see your not giving up on it bud, and if you need any help give us a buzz. greg
