http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/fuelleaks/fuelleaks.html to find fuel lines follow the hose coming from the fuel filter,which im sure you know where that is along the line/s coming from this are a series of jubilee clips go round securing each one until as tight as possible there is another hose under throttle cover which is notorius for leaks remove cover and check/replace hoses as nes ;) pic so you know where lines are:)i have even marked all the clamp points of which you need to check for tightness

manual conversions are ok but when purchasing 2nd hand gearboxs you never know what your going to get,possible syncro wear crunching gears,fast road autoboxes are very good and i think they will happily run 450-500 hp not a problem MAC1 on here has changed from auto-manual and the brand new manual gearbox blew up so as for reliablilty its hard to say,but a brand new recon fast road would be ideal IMO

this time of year fuel smells are normally apparent check all hoses are tight around the fuel lines going to fuel dampner and regulator or you have an oil leak,or your clutch is slipping,but if you have a new one i doubt it is that,check if this smell is only apparent when your driving the car hard or wether its under noraml driving,check fuel lines 1st

unfortunantly the stock temp gauge is pants and will warn you when it is pretty much to late,approx 112oc before it rises to max or thereabouts,id get your self an aftermarket gauge and sender so you can keep an eye on any engine temps when needed ;) clean the connectors on the water pipes.sometimes a fouled plug can make it seem like the car is taking a long time to warm up

dont assume a slightly newer turbo japanese car will be any differant,my mate has a skyline r33 gtr and has replaced more components on his car in a month than i did in 2years of having my z,any performace car will require lots of maintance and lots of money ;)

fair enough still rather remove radiator,so when you put alloy pipe on half the sealent doesnt end up all over the place
