  1. Attended a car meet near Falkirk and was photographed leaving said meet.
  2. I went the Nistune way and then had my Zed live mapped by Dyna Tune in East Kilbride. At the first session, he noticed that the car was running out of puff at high revs, he duly connected a fuel pressure gauge and that showed that the in tank fuel pump was unable to provide enough pressure at the top end. Once I'd fitted a new fuel pump (and new O2 sensors), the car was mapped to a very safe 335 bhp. Yes, I could have had higher power but I'm looking for safe and reliable - not just a high power figure. So Nistune......a good, speedy service from Horsham Developments and well known to the tuners out there - recommended.
  3. I heartily recommend Chris@Dynatune, he is very knowledgeable about Zeds, he's got mine running like a wee sweetie 😊
  4. Hey all, I've fitted a new in tank fuel pump to my Zed, on the recommendation of my of my mapper/tuner (it was running out of puff under load). He is suggesting that he wires in a new relay and wiring, as the existing thirty year old wiring may fail under load..... Thought please? Thanks - Andy
  5. Okay, thanks guys - it's not desperate at the moment, (always) plenty of other things to try and fix first.
  6. As per the title, are new front wings for the Z32 still readily available - genuine or pattern? The bottom parts of mine are rotting away merrily, a common issue I'm sure. Thanks - Andy
  7. Great idea for the fog light to DRL conversion, what's involved in doing that?
  8. Fantastic... The third of November and already there's a layer of salt on the road. I was hoping to avoid that until December, rain in a day or so, the Zed's staying in the driveway until then - at least. It's only showing as 2 degrees tonight, hope that changes for the better.
  9. And the winner is...........Bang the top of the dash! Many thanks to Peage for that highly technical advice, it worked!
  10. And the next issue is as per post title.... I've just had the ECU back from having had a Nistune board supplied and installed, great, the car runs fine with one exception. The OEM boost gauge shows no activity at all, the vacuum hose is connected and unbroken, it looks like an electrical problem to me. Any ideas? Thanks - Andy
  11. I can second how good these are, well made and they stay put in windy weather (as long as the straps are tight), been using one for the past two years.
  12. Okay, a few jobs were done on the Zed (TT) in the past week.. New oil pressure sensor fitted - all working okay (I've never seen the oil pressure gauge read so high). New fuel regulator fitted - seems fine at the moment. Idle speed adjusted - was idling a bit too low, with a tendency to stall (infrequently). Connected ECUTalk and went for a wee drive (screenshot of the info at idle) Comments on the gauge readings welcomed, please. I think that the AAC % is way too high and the IACV/FICD has no activity at all. The car runs fine but quite rich, it does have a Zedworld chip fitted and is decatted Would the high AAC reading have anything to do with the car running rich? The AAC figure drops to about 205 on over-run. Thanks - Andy
  13. Thanks Andrew, clips needed minimal (if any) tightening, all visible connections are sound. Started and ran, no sign of any leaks, weird.
  14. Hey all, I'm in the process of recommissioning the Zed (been sat on my drive through the winter), after a battery charge, she started up first thing - yay. A smell of petrol, nothing amiss up top - but looking underneath there was petrol dropping down big time on the nearside. Quickly shut the engine down, let the petrol all evaporate and tried again......no fuel leak this time - weird. Is it possible that something (fuel regulator) was a bit sticky and caused a problem - I'm clutching at straws here. A dozen starts later, lots of idling, the leak has not reappeared - great. I'd still like to know what caused it though... Any ideas.... Andy
  15. My Zed has eventually passed the 100,000 mile mark, I really, really need to use it more - this was way too long in coming. Obligatory recent photographs attached, apologies for the size of them.
