rear subframe bush options
No, you just need to leave the outer shell from the old bush in place.
-
Anyone after this...
The supplements are for the changes in later specs as the main book only goes upt to 93 iirc. And all though they are fairly hefty tomes £14 p+p is taking the p1ss.

rear subframe bush options
I've got ES poly ones and you need to keep the outer shell of the old bush. You won't be able to change them by just dropping the sub a 6" i'm afraid. You're going to need good access to get the old bushes out so it's a sub off job. HTH

Crunching 2nd gear
? I never had a problem when I used a 1/2" socket extension to undo the plug.

Crunching 2nd gear
Just undo the sump plug and drain it out, put the plug back in and remove the filler plug (half way up the box) fill with new oil until it starts to drip out of the filler plug. I use MT90 gearbox oil, it helps reduce crunchy synchros and is a common choice. HTH ps. You'll want something like this to put the new oil in; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Siphon-Hand-Pump-Deluxe-WATER-OIL-LIQUID-FUEL-FLUID-Pump-Air-Inflater-Tool-/310595504363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4850ef48eb

Plasti dip?
Do you mean the stuff that you can get in a spray can as well? If so DON'T DO IT, it'll peel at the slightest knock.

Carbon wrapped zed
Sorry lads, this is a banned members car. Thread closed.

Thanks y'all
Congrats on the sad sale mate and glad you're sticking around :thumbup1:

Hi All
Welcome back buddy, I've missed you :)

Focus RS
The RS500 would keep up with a stock zed but that has 345bhp and a 0-60 of 5.7s compared to a stock zed's 300bhp and 0 - 60 0f 5.5. Not to mention the amount of torque steer from a FWD car. A stage one zed would own it :)
-
Focus RS
It wouldn't hold it's own against a stock zed, tell him to stop talking *****x
-
new gtr
I'll have one by the time I'm 70 on current guesswork :thumbup1: When they're about £1.5k for a rust pile shed that needs "some" work...

cone filter
I wouldn't use a spray they tend to be oil based and you run the risk of sucking the oil through the filter and covering the MAF wire.
-
Anyone!!
I'd also get a centre punch and use that before you drill, you want a 6x1.25 tap for the thread cutting. :) If you've never tapped an new thread before there are a couple of things you need to do to. 1... Once drilled, only turn the tap a quarter of a turn (you'll feel it cutting), then turn it anti-clockwise again, keep doing this until you're done. This will ensure the tap will not get clogged up with swarf and jam. and 2.. Take it slowly, if you break the tap in the hole it's a right PITA to get it out as they are harder than you're average drill bit. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs. HTH

I've always wondered why we call the convertible "verts" when every other convertible is known as either a soft top or rag top?
