  1. Might be a daft question but are you talking about the front end of the car? Reason I ask is I've got the powertrix rear adjustable set. I haven't fitted them yet, but what's been mentioned has got me a tad worried.
  2. Glad it's back on. Where has all this "mid-season break" crap come from? Caprica has now gone on one till the Autumn! Bloody annoying :censored:
  3. It might be worth having for the rear subframe and diff. Makes the TT accelerate faster
  4. Cover the bolts in plus gas (like WD40 but better) leave it for a few hours then use a breaker bar or torque wrench to break the torque. If its studs you may need to get some stud extractors.
  5. I've never understood why people do this? Why not just buy the car your after rather than destroy an already good car?
  6. Happy Christmas :wheelchair:
  7. basically yeah, its the fuel filler one that's a bugger to get off as its screwed on to the side of the tank. I also struggled with the strap bolts on the rear subframe as access to them is really restricted. It's just awkward at times that's all mate, you'll still get it done pretty quickly :hammer:
  8. When I took the one of my old jdm I took the fuel pump out via the boot panel (as you mentioned) then siphoned all the fuel out. The biggest problem I had was that the fuel filler pipe had rusted around the connections and was a right barsteward to get off.
  9. Very nice house you've got there mate.
  10. Yep sure did. Although, now I think about it, I raised the front first and put the wheels on ramps. I then raised the back (front wheels will start to move back a bit when lifting the rear, so keep an eye on this) and put it on the stands. Finally, I raised the front off the ramps and onto the stands. You can of course do it the other way round. You will get creaking and clunking noises as you jack up the car but as long as the jack is in the correct place (see diagram of jacking points) you will be fine.
  11. I bought some 6ton "van" axle stands, they stand about 18" high before extending them. Gives a really solid base for the car to sit on, It feels that I could take a running push at the car and it wouldn't budge
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8610423.stm He hated Pink Floyd tho' so personally I don't care
  13. Nothing wrong with sitting the car on 4 axle stands. Just make sure you put them in the correct places.
  14. nice one :thumbup1:
  15. You forgot the nylon Y fronts!
  16. Can't see the pole mate! I like my luxury's so don't bother with weight saving. Wouldn't consider removing it. If I wanted a fast car without any toys I'd have bought an Ariel Atom or such like.
  17. At least Rooney will get a rest before the World Cup.
  18. You could also connect a pela pump to the bleed nipple on the actuator, leaving the ps reservoir's lid on. This would create a much better vacuum than the reservoir method and should remove the vast majority of the fluid from the pipes.
  19. you did put the torque converter back in didn't you!
  20. I was going to say "Were they greased properly?". I've got these drop links, I haven't installed them yet so after reading this thread I decided to have a good look at them. I've noticed the movement you mentioned but It isn't coming from the ball/bush, it's coming from the stud that connects to the arb having play in the shaft when tightened. It'll be a while before I'm ready to install mine, but I'll report back if I get problems.
  21. I'm a little bit addicted to the site, I only login everyday and I do sleep at times :whistling:
  22. Welcome matey :)
