third brake light and perspex strip
My '93 Series 2 UK came without the center brake light and Nissan didn't even bother putting the loom to it either. The tight gits  ;)

oil pressure
A gauge is only as good as the sender it's attached to. I think the main problem with the oem gauge is that the senders tend to fail. Aftermarket oil pressure gauges tend to be connected to a sender on a sandwich plate between the engine and the oil filter and therefore don't use the oem sender.

Its amazing what you find!
Iirc gas filled dampers fail straight away if the seals leak. So as long as the seals look good and the spring is not near breaking then I'd think you just need to give them a clean and a lick of paint and they'd be good to go. Personally I wouldn't try to dismantle the damper side myself, but removing the springs for cleaning and painting would be fine. You'll need some spring compressors to compress the spring so that you can undo the mountings. I'm sure one of our more knowledgeable members will be able to advise you further.

Conzult software not working for crank angle sensor problem?
The file is more likely missing from the conzult software and not your OS (whichever you use). Conzult works on all versions of windows from 98 upto Win7 64bit, Vista and millenium editions will probably cause some grief, that's how they roll.lol Have a read here on sorting kernalbase.dll problems; http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/kernelbase-dll-not-found-missing-error.htm HTH.
