  1. Right can we get back on topic please, I know your all just messing as I was but I don't want the thread to turn into a slanging match. Remember anybody can read these threads and a lot of people could take offence at some of the comments made. thx
  2. Yep, vodkashots is running his without the o2's connected at the moment. The ECU will compensate for them not being connected and run a basic map. If the car is fine with them unplugged then the chances are that one or both are failing and sending weird readings to the ECU; which might be the reason for the erratic running. This is guess work by my and so may not be the case but you won't damage the car doing it. But it may well be that as Dave said; your getting moisture sucked into the MAF. A wet MAF will make the car run like it's chewing a bag of nails. P.s. It's still worth cleaning the IAV out and resetting the base idle to 750..

  9. The PFR6-11a/b/c were designed for use on the VG30 so they are the correct length, gap etc.

  12. Personally unless you have a massive upgraded powerful engine. I would stick with oem, MJP for the oil filter and I got my plugs from ebay. Pfr6-11b iirc.
  13. Aah, I get confused on which combo needs the spacers.. Don't know then mate, but I've got a gut feeling that it's something simple... If you know what I mean.
  14. Yeah, not grounding pin 44 shouldn't stop it starting. Did you have to add spacers for the starter motor mounting?
  15. Have you done the auto inhibitor cut off doodah in the drivers wing mate?
  16. Try unplugging both your o2 sensors from the loom and see if that makes any difference..

  19. Your right the banter on here is second to none. I've not been a member of a lot of forums. Was on VVOC when I had my gsi and I joined the VectraC/Signum forum when I got my oil burner. I have only ever used them for problems and I'll more often ask the question here first. This place in now a part of my life and I can't see me ever leaving (sorry about that folks)..

  22. Jakai has a rep power of 9 and I have 17 so that's 26 but don't know where the other points have come from? Saying that; I have a 186 rep points but it was 177 yesterday and I haven't been given any rep since?
  23. It's a pity about the "spreading the love" though, I've been stopped giving rep to people for helpful posts but can't because I've already given them some before. Guess it stops the abuse though.
