The fogs have also stopped working. i did have the main fuse box out in the driver footwell. Is there any headlight connections in that area. If so what plug??? cheers

electrical harness for the horn and other
cheers for the replies. I take it the passenger side drain plug can only be found by taking the wing off then? so the horn cable comes straight from the engine bay fuse box to the steering column?

Just repairing some electrical issues with the old Z and needed some better information: does anyone know which connector the horn is located on in this pic? also on other pictures i have seen, there is a black connector next to the big brown connector. Am i missing some wiring? Does the water pipe for the targer come in around this area, i cant find the pipe cheers- Any locals here good with autoelectrics?
dont no if this will help http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=155686- oil pressure
i always check the dipstick by 1. letting the engine cool down for several hours 2. take dipstick out and wipe it 3. place dipstick back in making sure not to twist it about 4. remove dip and check oil level, all the way round the dip. the lowest mark should be taken as the proper level. hope this makes sense- Exhaust cat connectors
thanks, might just unplug them from the box and feed them out, instead of unscrewing them from the cat.- Exhaust cat connectors
are they required for the car to opperate correctly? need to remove the exhaust but i'm a bit worried about breaking the bolts that holds the sensors in as they are rusty. do you know what page these connectors are on, inthe service manual?- Exhaust cat connectors
91 jap import TT LWB looking at my exhaust there are two braded lines going into the side of the cats. these lines then dissapear into the cabin though a rubber hole. i assume they are sensors of some kind? I have tried to find a reference for them but with no luck, so hence the post. cheers- non starting z (newbie)
Spot on. Car is now running again thanks mate- non starting z (newbie)
Thanks man, only had the car a month and its a propper mission getting it running how i want it. Will try this tonight- non starting z (newbie)
just wanted to see if anyones got any idea's for my Z car was running fine the day before. Got in it dismorning and it started but i then stalled it :death: and now the Z wont fire up. The engine turns over but does not spark to life. I have charged the battery just in case. Was thinking it could be the fuel pump or PTU (bit strange as it was fine the day before) Anyone else got any ideas for me to check?- idle rev counter question
never mind found a good guide for the tps. will also check the other stuff out when i get the time. (dame the 300's complex!) cheers- idle rev counter question
where is the tps and adjustment pot- idle rev counter question
how is the tps checked, not sure what pins to use. does anyone have a picture?- idle rev counter question
should have said when satationary after a hours dirve the revs are aound 1.5 - 2k- idle rev counter question
on startup the engine idles around the normal 850rpm. after a long hour's drive to work, the revs sit around 1500 to 2000 and doesnt seem to drop off. not sure if this is right for a zed or not?- newbie timing belt questions
hi all, in the middle of the timing belt change. (done changes before on the old 200sx) was reading the manual for the timing belt change and came to the section about Removing the SparkPlugs. do i need to do this? (cant see a reason to remove them) Why do you have to move the crank 10Degs when installing the auto tension tension, seen on page EM19. is it to bed in tensioner? was just going to line it all up and rotate the crank just to make sure nothing hits inside last question, honest.. what page is the timing setup on (strobe light etc) cant find it cheers :clown:- play in steering wheel
thanks mate, was worring id rip the steering out. will try turning the triangles, but a picture would be great. cheers- play in steering wheel
hi new to the zeds and mine has alot of play in the steering wheel. when you pull it it has some forward travel and some play pulling it left and right. I have checked where it bolts on and all i can see is the two triangle blocks that attach the steering wheel to the console. is it spose to be like this? cant find a good picture or diagram of how its ment to be (even on the online manual) - electrical harness for the horn and other
