That probably means you have a convertor box installed. In theory that should raise the limit to 180mph. The code I referred to involves me taking one of my jap spec ecu chips and seeing what the speed limiter has been set to. Far too drunk to do that right now, perhaps during the week ... But I don't think that's your problem.

Erm, dunno. Originally they supplied some white stuff, this time I just Castrol Moly that I had kicking around.

There is a little potentiometer in the speedo that I think adjusts the accuracy ....

It doesn't take long to get the clocks out. Some of the speedo conversions are done with a little box and then a sticker on the speedo face (I'm not a fan of this) Some can be done wby substituing a resistor in the clocks (then you have to do the ECU as well) Or you can replace with UK spec clocks (and then do the ECu as well)

As standard it will be limited to 112mph (180kph) if the speedo conversion is done in one way then the limit will be raised to 180mph, if it's done by substituing UK spec clocks then the Jap ECU limiter will still take effect, although I would have to check the code to see what the actual number is.

Had the same problem myself a couple of months back. Suspension Techniques use a poly bush that seems to go dry after a few years - took it apart, greased it with the normal thick goopy stuff and it was fine afterwards. Sounds AWFUL before though because it resonates through the chassis !

I can't quite remember how it all works right now, but there is an electric motor in there somewhere and lots of cogs. It's highly likely that if both the odo and the trip have packed up then it's a common problem - mine was the gearing. Not sure about the screws, maybe it's only the jap ones that have the security screw.

I have one, but true to form as with many of my toys, I've never used it in anger ! One day, one day ....

In theory is the rate on the day the transaction was made, but I've never actually checked up on what they do.

If you get a tracker you should be able to move it to your next car. Bummer about the subscription though.

My alarm (not Toad) used to do this and I turned it off after it locked whilst I was on the outside one morning. Fortunately, I was at home, had my house keys in my pocket and the spare car keys inside the house .....
