  1. I've heard it described as many things lol , but that one was a new one on me ! Lol and didn't he disagree with hammond just before the start and bet on the 300? :nono:
  2. Will obviously give it a watch , but not holding out for much considering one of Hammond’s last comment on the Z "Was a car built for big fat American’s to be hauled around in" or something similar  so if that's the attitude from the start ?!
  3. Thank you very much for posting the Vid's :)
  4. Thank's mate must have missed that thread, yep 100% got to have an illuminated panel in red one day Chris
  5. When was it on ? , just seen most of the clip in work so wait forever to buff though so will see the whole ep some how lol It was pete's 21st Z !, and (imo) looks great !!!
  6. Really so that is a red one you have and you made it yoursef ? been looking at the kit's on e bay , but there blue and green :(
  7. Yep sought after so don’t blame you lol, seen a few being sold at ludicrous prices 2, think will just try and source one second hand , or buy the diy kit that seems reasonably priced ! Chris :)
  8. Seen you a few times now but never directly passing ! Once around a week and a half ago (mold rd area of Connah's Quay), and then yesterday pulling out at Wepre lights early eve, heading towards Shotton Must be a local Z anyone who log's in here ?????? Edit: Found and Traced lol :D Chris
  9. lol , i'd just like one in any colour, but remember seeing one in red once with 99 spec rear lights looked amazing :bow:
  10. great vids mate! oh and sent you a pm :)
  11. Pics look superb  look forward to more info on the (2+2) when available :)
  12. And is that a fully legit red 300zx illuminated rear panel i see ?? :)
  13. So he would undertake the lot? did not relise if so!, most people i've contacted over rebuild's near me have give a price for my n/a eng no prob's!, but when i mention the tt side of thing's (as in a conversion to boot) the whole mood changes  but would obviously be better to do it all at once ! will have to make an enquiry further down the line when i have the tt lump  Thanks Si :)
  14. All very true , and all that has been spinning round in my head, near enough every time i read a related thread   Will prob look out for a cheap breaker, and buy as a whole car just for the eng. Then sell the other bits to help fund some of the parts needed, will have to save the rest for the work and any parts i've not managed to source for the conversion etc. Jimmer would be my Choice for the Build but not sure i'd want to tackle the conversion with the new finished eng!. So gonna have to think who would do the conversion afterwards  Chris
  15. How did that "S" get in there?, nah it's just my way :wack:, never ask me to pronounce kawasaki either  I want my engine rebuilt one day !, weisco forged pistons, eagle conrods etc etc, but got the ultimate decision to make first Monster N/A or just go the whole hog and do a TT conversion (wont be a quick or easy decision though) rest assured though after reading some posts you've made and others in the past along with comparing local prices what ever i decide it will be Jimmer that i go to  Chris
  16. lol at chocolate pistons, and yep agreed the evo is much much nicer
  17. i know what you mean about having more advantage on the bend's , hope you dont leave us though bud , and 2 be honest i'm not to fussed on any impreza's you seen any for sale you like ?
  18. bloomin heck Si ,did not know that was the reason you went for the rebuild , did you use forged internals and cosmetic head gaskets yourself? bet you've never looked back since though right :D Chris
  19. Many have !! even got some pics of jimmers work in an old pm somewhere, Si used jimmer i think?, as said though if it's been driven around 1000mls in current con a recon eng or ur's rebuilt is best and most worthwile !
  20. Depends what you want if you're gonna get the whole engine rebuilt while it has it's current issue then that sounds like a job for Jimmer but if you just want the job addressed (ie) the shells , could be done by a fair few garage's with good experience i'll be honest though i would not continually drive the car the way it is , and try and find the most experienced local garage that can help providing you only want to go down that avenue
  21. Congrats bet you cant wait ....... As above a higher octane fuel is advisable , optimax is obviously the pedigree choice but 97 ron , will be fine for a j-spec providing it's not been modified some even use 95 on a standard jap z , (i've always used 97/98 ron ) you could also consider a larger autobox oil cooler (providing it's an auto) Chris
  22. Cool it's settled then:hyper: , my zed's far from a1 but should look the part mingled in with it's bigger tt brother's lol Chris
  23. that will not be an issue lol. no bm's or astra's near the stand lol :nono: ooohhh i might take mine now though if that's the case!! when you need to know by?
  24. i'll prob drive to isaac's in the Z , but jump in his , and have both mates follow in one other car ? would that be best for any parking issues etc ? (kind of 2 cars instead of 4 lol)
