NZR Scart Socket Troubles
you really need a switchable scart box then whatever switch you use takes preference usually whatever is in the first scart socket in that kind of box will take preference m8, especially if its the cheaper end of the market so get yourself a scart box with 1-2-3 etc on then whenever your using that item select that number (hope that makes sense lol)

All your opinions wanted...Legal Guru Here?
who mentioned ebay terms?? it was an advert for all the world to see, same way this forum is IF the car was misdescribed, i didn't mention points NOT advertised, it matters not where it was advertised, it was a private sale, so less of a comeback, and notice i said IF HE HAD A CASE, if he advertised the car as just passed an mot and then found there was no floor then that is misdescription wherever advertised, (but obviously by the tone of your post none of us should have bothered answering)

the things you mention are not any reason for you to give him any money back, saying he can't get insured is something he should have checked out first, which also means he (probably) drove the car home 400 miles with no insurance? the exhaust was obviously in place when he took the car, so nothing he can do, did you describe the alarm as cat 1 approved?, even if you did the very worst you may, I SAY MAY be obliged to do is get an alarm fitted, i assume you have his emails stating he knew about the speedo problem, so again he has no comeback, as a few have said if you had misdescibed the car i.e. car recently passed mot and it was obvious it couldn't have done, then everything else is down to caveat emptor, i wouldnt think any solicitor knowing all the facts would pursue a serious case, its a fishing letter, don't take the BAIT lol keep records of every email etc he sends, especially those where he admits he knew what he was buying (btw buying outside ebay is not a getout for you, as he bought the car on that description, and would be legally binding IF HE HAD A CASE;) )

Bought myself a new toy.....
actually thats NOT what the specs/write ups say m8 An advanced version of Sony's NightShot Infrared system that allows users to record natural color images in low-light conditions, but without the blurring common with other lowlight recording systems. unless i'm completely reading it wrong, as i said apart from that does the job it says, just not the ones i want lol (if you want some mini-discs m8 let me know and will send some, you can have them, i have a FEW lol)

Bought myself a new toy.....
hope your happier with it than me m8 bought one when they first hit the market, and bought it for when we went on our cruise, daytime it was perfect, when we filmed our son in the talent contest, luckily we used both or cam corders, i say lucky because the sony we already had (dcr-hc30e) kicked its arse, the film from the night club was pants, even the night shot mode came out closer to black and white, as i say just glad we used both cams otherwise would have lost a once in a lifetime film, also found it a pain when trying to swop discs quickly, takes an age to access the new disc, apart from that lol its a good cam' looking at buying the jvc hd cam-corder now, but i want to see it in action first lol

road angel two
when you first plug one in m8 it can take up to an hour to memorize satellite's then after that within a minute or two every time,he may find its because he is using it in a different position in the car and is he driving while trying to find?? best thing to do is park up outside the house put it in position and leave it no good parking say in the drive between two houses for the first time it probably won't find any do the above and SHOULD be ok m8;)

Bought a new car
also just bought one of those m8:) mines for the wife though this was fully modded v/s, and sat nav/dvd player etc etc etc still not sure about it, but she loves it (so her christmas sorted) had a scary moment driving it back from scotland, as had a blow out my own fault as when checking the tyres properly (after) back two were down to wire, it was pissing down when we saw it so didnt check as well as we should, fair play to the guy he sent me half the cost via paypal as i replaced all 4 she even like the ironing board

Nzr Dvd
ok thats slightly different m8 (sorry i didnt see your post saying you wanted it to divx) and as your compressing that much its possible you will take LONGER, as you say encoding it takes no time at all, so you will need to encode it to your h/d first using shrink or dvd decrypter check out a programme called canopus procoder, ive never used it to MAKE a divx, but used it to convert the other way and it works well, it IS time consuming but does the job well

Nzr Dvd
not sure why shrink is taking you that long m8?? quick run through in case your doing it differently ill assume your using one drive make two folders on your desk top AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS put the dvd in the writer start shrink, open disc and point it at the drive takes about 30-secs to analyse the disc on the compression settings change it to custom and move the slider slowly until the red goes (not sure if you meant the dvd was 4 gig before compression, if so you dont need to touch the settings) then select back up, and point the image to be saved as VIDEO_TS it then should take about 15 mins-1/2 hour max to encode then when finished using something like recordnow max, use the data mode and drag the two folders you made into it and burn

easy being wise after the event m8 but:( being a forum always some "history"- E-bay Reply About My Car Lol
deffo sounds like he is a "MAJOR" bidder on ebay :nelson: http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=8220056966 http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=4574951918- NZR Woohooo!
wording from the mag i got m8 "with the bill now being officially "dropped" users of old style radar detectors and laser jammers can sleep easy, certainly in the short to middle term"- NZR Woohooo!
http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=55823 ;)- Road Angel New Toy
just got the new mag from them, and they NOW do a ROAD ANGEL NAVIGATOR, seen a few ask can you buy a combined job now you can:) not cheap mind but price the two together and doesnt seem bad £599.95, have just rang them and going to part ex my new road angel so brings it down to £379, only downside i can see from it it no longer has the laser detector, (got a laser jammer so not a great issue) also from their mag it seems the recent news items about the radar detectors etc being banned has now been put on hold (late 2007 AT LEAST) so those who like their toys   http://www.blackspot.com/products/roadangelnavigator/index.html- Enough is enough
i don't think anyone is having a dig at NZR stuff m8, as much as we all love our cars i think it would be a pretty boring place if it was nothing else but the car, its the total drivel posted, then when some newbie maybe posts without thinking (maybe not knowing) he is slaughtered, yes the fiesta etc was funny, but you only get 3 months for assault, but seems a slip of the keyboard or not thinking lol, and your gone for life i found those posts more amusing than some members who come on once every 3 weeks etc destroy someones help/wanted/for sale post etc with "amusing" posts and goes off in search of lord lucan again have to 100% agree with Spinksy and others above, agree with Chris to a certain degree its part of life, but football forums you ALWAYS will have a different opinion to others and NOTHING can change who you support, so the ribbing is always there (especially if you support everton  ) but this forum we are all supposed to be like minded re the car, and those that have sold up moved on, its still good to see their posts, a shame to read that many of the older (longer) members are moving on or thinking about it so good post m8, hopefully make a few stop and think;)- National Rail Enquires....bloody joke
i know it can be a right pain in the arse with some of these call centres but lets not pretend things have got worse over the last couple of years how often have you got through to some pig ignorant obnoxious twat, or "we'll get someone to ring you back" been on a couple of cruises and mostly the cabin stewards/waiters etc are indian and ive yet to come across a more trained efficient and helpful set of people ANYWHERE in the world, our youngster is treated like a little lord when we go, they obviously know the best way to get to you is through the kids, but we had been home about two hours after driving from southampton and the phone rang and it was our cabin steward to see if the lad got home ok, lol we had already tipped him so no reason for him to go that extra yard, but was a nice end to the holiday, at the end of the day, the staff aboard are as good as their training, and i can imagine some of the abuse aimed at some of the call centre staff try ringing the likes of sky tv and compare,- so who has contemplated converting to gas??
work out the maths m8 over a grand to convert, no grants available because of the age how long to get that back?? you probably never would same way owning a diesel from new is now false economy, as its now on par or more expensive that petrol, but you still pay upwards or more than 2 grand for a diesel compared to petrol model, thats A LOT of mileage to earn your "saving" back yes you visit the garage less often, but i would prefer the 2 grand+ in the bank;)- NZR mp3-cd-mp3
for ripping cds to mp3s http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ nero to go the other way- silly question.
