PC Guru's
Hi, I have aquired a 900MHz Celeron PC for free from work loaded with Win98. I also got a free dial up (I know, shite) modem. I got it for the Mrs's mums sister. She's never had a PC so thought this would be a good starter. Anyway, after fooking around for hours on t'internet I can't find the driver for the modem and it won't install or work properly. There are no identifying marks on it as to who made it and now I'm stuck. Any ideas ?? CheerZ Paul.

Agreed, I used to have a crappy USB modem and that didn't need to "stabalsie" max speed all the time on that
-
advice with bt broadband
"Apparently" according to BT you shold wait 3 - 10 days for the hub to stablise its connection speed, pisses you off but give it 5, then check your hub stats and see what it says
-
advice with bt broadband
OK, now pull the power from you hub, leave it 30secs+ and wair for it to reconnect
-
advice with bt broadband
No just go to your browser or hub manager ad reset, or power cycle the hub
